yes, thats correct, i did not need to restart a new contract. i did have to speak to a manager though.
I have since got rid of my three months free calls, as i manage to get the 12 months free anytime calls I also have the free international boost also. Plus line rental, i am paying only £3.00 a month (£18.03 in total)Trinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0 -
Great, thanks, I'll give it a try then0

I rang today as I couldn't select by their website.
They offered my 3 tv options (I don't use the box), a broadband health check with an engineer or a 12 month boost (anytime calls) to my current csll package - evening & weekend only calls. I currently pay £5 for my call package, it will go up to £10 between April & October 16.
Is that an ok deal?
The lady on the phone had a very heavy accent & I had trouble understanding her, as I said the website wouldn't let me pick so I had to call.0 -
The Chat button seems to be constantly busy on the "free upgrade" page.
I clicked on the Help tab, Contacts, Accounts & Billing, Changing Your Package, and a chat prompt appeared.
The very helpful chap said he'd cancelled my calls boost, however the email said 'Your following boosts have been removed': blank, so it remains to be seen if this has happened or not!
Edit: Just checked and the Anytime Calls Boost upgrade option has now appeared in my account but I'll leave it 24 hours just in case.0 -

I am quite surprised You got the International Calls Boost free! I was backing all my argument for discounts only on what the new customer offers are available at the moment. Did not see the International one anywhere. The guy from Loyalty Team was trying to sell the Anytime Calls Boost for half price for all new 18 months contract period, but I asked if he could just add the now available 12 months Free Boost and I'd decide what to do upon it's expiry.
Anyways, I ended up with the same cost as I was paying now (£20 for package + line rental, paid upfront couple of months ago), for Essentials with Fiber Large and International Calls Boost, but now with the Free Anytime Calls Boost added. So, quite happy with the outcome.0 -

Are you paying equivalent of £20.00 a month for everything then?Trinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0 -

Yes, apart from line rental, which I paid upfront for a Value Line Rental price of £180.36 just before the price went up.
12 Months Free Anytime UK Calls Boost = £0
18 Months Half Price Call Plan = £5
£5 Fibre Large Discount for 18 months - Essentials = £10
International Calls Boost = £5
So, it all comes to £20 a month for the next 18 months.
Will have to evaluate everything related to this, IF and WHEN TT decides to raise the costs!0 -

Yes, the 'blank' part was on my e-mail from TT, too. I also left a day before "taking up the offer" to make sure all was ok. In response to actually accepting the upgrade online, I received another e-mail yesterday confirming it's going ahead today. As said in an earlier post, the only way to check that, of course, is for me to make a call and see if I've been charged - but I have their message, so assume they're not likely to go back on it.
For anyone else who wants to try, the trick (if such you can call it) when you make your phone call to TT is just to request the cancellation of your current 'anytime calls' boost- don't prevaricate; don't give a reason! :j

essentials package - £10,00 a month
12 months half price call plan - £5.00

I was 'offloaded' by virgin media onto talktalk approx. 3 or 4 months ago as I don't have a timeline contract; on a basic broadband package and have been offered 2 of the 4 options ..
Health check (no thanks) and the sim deal (not interested).
The irony is I would have liked the tv channels, has anybody here that's on talk talk been able to negotiate a deal as an upgrade without going into a contract ?0
