Oh yuck, valli. When I collected DD we walked past the nursery and one of them was telling parents "all the children are sat on the red mat tonight as someone has been sick on the other one..." So many bugs around - we need more chilly air to freshen the country up!

Kids in bed and I'm in relax mode. The tv is off, amaretto poured and box of mikado opened :D

I'll be out till tomorrow afternoon but I'll be heading into the dining room  and planning to photograph and list some subbutteo on the bay of e. I will empty the cabinet, too. I'm sure there is fuzzy felt in there that no-one plays with. Mmm. Nursery might like that...

Need to re-tidy kitchen before my bath...

  • Hi all

Its been a rubbish week, work, kids, money, everything is wrong at the moment but hey ho, its weekend tomorrow and things can only get better right?

We have booked the plumber to fit our new bathroom on 2nd December. I am desperate to get it done, dont even care if its finished for Christmas. Please remind me that I said that when I am tearing my hair out on the 20th December.

Dancemum DS was kicked out of CAMHS for missing 2 sessions (one of which we cancelled for unavoidable reasons and one of which they cancelled). However we then got referred to a very good psychologist who made a big difference.

Will have to catch up a bit tomorrow. OH has promised to sort the odds and ends basket in the utility room cupboard, as most of it is his stuff. He has tipped it all out on the worktop and thrown about 3 things in the bin. Sigh.

Valli you have my upmost sympathy, I don't do the Vword either. I knew the rules inside out for what to do if somebody upchucked over an exam paper, they did, I gave guidance on the radio!

Achieved very little but like the rest of you the weekend can only be better, having a second glass of fizz, which I'll regret, whilst making a second dinner for hollow legs.

    Evening all :hello:

mummyroys - bet you pleased that today was the last workmen's day eh.

nicki - great to hear your new boiler in and you're happy with it

I'm not very good with the 'V' stuff either - I seem to have a reciprocal stomach at the sight or sound of it :o

After all the warmish weather it was soo cold today here, with heavy showers and very windy, so I didn't bother with going out to the town. DH is not working the morrow so I'll get him to take me in the car :)

Three loads of WM and TD done today. Bed turned and changed and all rest folded and put away. I did a roast for dinner today, as DH is working lates on Sunday and so he won't want one then - usually has a large cooked brunch on these Sundays.

Hugs, sticks and spoons for all who need some
Hope you all have a super weekend

  • bossy While I'm all for the cold weather rather than the rain, I wasn't prepared for it to SNOW on me when I went for my run this morning. Unfortunately I was running TOO a class from the bus. I had to get through the class, run back to the bus-stop in the rain and get home. Very cold and miserable. A hot bath soon improved things though.

It also made me very lethargic so no flying today. Have a huge list for tomorrow on top of basics.

New dog flap - Old one broken by dog. (Wouldn't be so bad but Oz isn't expected to be around for that much longer. Unfortunately he needs to be able to get out overnight)
Butcher - Xmas order. Butcher is not accessible by public transport so DH has to be around to get me there, and he goes away on Friday. By the time we are back it will be too late.
    Cooking - for house guest.
Cooking - prep Xmas recipes for freezer to get ahead. We get back on 7th December and I'm running out of time.

Have Pilates at 0830, and need to fit in a run as well. Must keep losing the weight in the run up to Christmas.:rotfl:

Hope everyone is nice and snug this evening. I'm off for hot chocolate before bed.
    Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18
    Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o

YL we were thrown off the clinical psychologist's list as I had to cancel an appointment due to a "slipped disc ". We have been thrown off waiting lists for being too patient even though when chasing them up we were told to wait. We are just desperate to help ds2.
Another one discharged us as I ask to move our weekly appointments to half hour earlier or later.

    Ds1 bed remade
Hat basket sorted. My scarf smells of mould. :(

Ooh that sounds like a really good explanation

    'Sorry!

    Can't help...I have a reciprocal stomach!'

I also have umpteen jars of pickled onions  Probably only the second time I have ever pickled onions!

Terrible scenes from France .. Blessings to all those over there and r.i.p. To those taken by evil.

Calming vibes to the sea around Japan .. It must be very scary there too!!

I came to bed at 10.. Now everyone is asleep and I've been awake since 2!!! I'm going to be even more tired than usual today!!

It is miss squirrels first birthday today.. It will be very interesting to se if cf turns up there, I've already called the police once this week.. 999 job if he turns up while my boys are there.. That will be very interesting!! For the love of chickens!! I don't need this kind of stress!!

I may get up and clean things,, lying in bed is not getting anything done!!

    Morning all

Such a dreadful night in Paris, France must be rocked to the core.

It makes today's flying and chores seem so trivial but there is also comfort to be had in the mundane.

  • Just been watching the news. Its hard not to be a little bit scared by this, it is very close to home. My heart goes out to anyone involved.

Dancemum we had a serious of CAMHS workers over 5 years. Eventually DS was referred to a psychologist who immediately saw behaviour patterns that indicated possible autism. We are now waiting for more tests. DS cant engage with her though and cant discuss his feelings with anyone so we are still without any real help and just have to muddle through. Its so hard.

Valli I once left DH home with the kids when I went on a training course and DS, about 2 then, developed a sickness bug. DH is very bad with anything like this and rang me in complete meltdown!

Hope no-one is affected by this terrible wet weather. We should miss the worst of it but no football as the pitch is too wet. We might go shopping for house things, hopefully OH can get some tiling done if its too wet for him to work next week.
