If you have a judgement against you, the FIRST STEP to getting rid of it is a SET ASIDE HEARING
IF the set aside is granted, the judgement is removed and the claimant basically has to start again, potentially going to a new hearing, to hear the actual claim.
If you are still unsure about this then you really should be reading and rereading post 2 of the newbies thread.
What do you mean "initial hearing"
Was this the hearing for the intiial claim form? Or was this a set aside hearing?
You HAVE to use the right terms otherwise its very difficult for us to guess!
I see what you are saying. Yes initial hearing is the hearing for the initial claim form which I could not attend, sorry for the confusion,
Do I just need to simply attend the set aside hearing? is there anything I need to prepare for?0
