Are you sure? It's normally in a paragraph of blurb on page 2.

    Does it say something like:
Each party shall, at least 14 days before the date fixed for the hearing, file and serve on every other party copies of all documents on which he / she intends to rely at the hearing.

Heres a link to the letter https://www.dropbox.com/s/8rk0xt5qgkutorm/Image.png?dl=0

What was attached to the letter was a copy of the the Application notice form (N244) that I sent into the court which is an order to set a side the claim. On the form question 10, it ask what information will you be relying on, in support of your application in which I ticked:
the attached witness statement and the statement of case. Looking back now I think this was an error as it has not been completed yet.

Can't I just submit the witness statement on the day? looking at the one that Gladstone submitted it looks very comprehensive.

    No

Scan a copy. Take personal details off. Stick it in a dropbox and we'll see if it is "comprehensive" or not.

Hang on is this just the set aside hearing then? Wasn't your N244 done in 2017?

No I submitted this year in in May after the original hearing that I could not attend. Is a set aside hearing any different to a normal one?

Yes, it is different, a stepping stone stage - so are you saying this is just the hearing about setting aside the CCJ, not the full hearing about the claim?

I am not sure of your question, in the recent letter I uploaded it is not clear from the court, which is why I have asked the question on this forum. As I did not attend the initial hearing, it was ordered that Judgement for the claimant against the defendant for £100 and interest to be paid on the 8 June plus the claimants assessed sum of +£300. I sent in an email to get another hearing and provided the right documentation I was also instructed to submit the N244 application notice which I asked for the order to be set aside and to have another hearing to defend myself as I had to attend an immediate family funeral at the time of the initial hearing.

    ITs a fairly clear question!

If you have a judgement against you, the FIRST STEP to getting rid of it is a SET ASIDE HEARING

IF the set aside is granted, the judgement is removed and the claimant basically has to start again, potentially going to a new hearing, to hear the actual claim.

If you are still unsure about this then you really should be reading and rereading post 2 of the newbies thread.

What do you mean "initial hearing"
Was this the hearing for the intiial claim form? Or was this a set aside hearing?
You HAVE to use the right terms otherwise its very difficult for us to guess!
