Child Support Agency Help!

Hi everyone,
Every couple of years I receive a letter from the CSA (Or whatever they are called now) claiming I have a child.
Each time I repeatedly tell them that my name was pulled out a hat and I've got nothing to do with it. I know nothing other than the child's name and date of birth from the letters.
I've made contact with the mother in the past however only at a distance or when this crops up.
I was informed around 6 months ago that the most recent claim was closed down BY HER and that no action would be taken (I've never paid a dime).
However it's reared it's head again and I'm told this time they have new powers to just take the money off me anyway.
There's nothing to support her continued false claims and I've no idea what to do.
I have told her I'll have my solicitor be in touch and now contact has been blocked. I've refused to pay for a DNA test in the past, however any time they tell her they will pay for it she closes the claim down but sadly a new one gets made a few months later.
What can I do?! I'm told the 'new' CSA don't hang around and the case worker is sadly talking to people in my position on a daily basis and they'll be forced to take $200 a month off me and assume parentage.
They have the correct National Insurance number, but even she doesn't know my correct name!

Seems simple, pay for a DNA test, the whole thing goes away. This has gone beyond standing your ground on principle, just pay for the test so you can get on with your life.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

This ^^
It will be far cheaper than trading solicitors letters, and get the issue resolved once and for all.0 -
Well they will charge you £300 for taking an attachment of earnings and add £20 to whatever amount they say you have to pay ... the DNA test is cheaper and if this child is not yours you have nothing but that money to lose! Better that that £100+'s a month.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

When they 1st made contact you would have recieved an MEF (maintainence enquiry form) then once you complete that you can check the box that says you have doubts that you are the other parent, this starts the ball rolling for a DNA test and you can have them pay, if you are confident you are not the parent then the only inconvenience you will have is a trip to the Dr for a quick swipe of the gum.
Burying your head in the sand doesn't close the case (neither does the parent with care) , get it sorted as soon as . It's a simple open and closed case according to you, your method of ignoring will only leave you in financial heartache. (unless of course you are just attention seeking?) .0 -
Dispute it.
If you are the father you might be asked to pay for the test.
If not, there's no cost to you.
( but you have written 2 americanisms - this is advice for England)0 -
As stated, when I or the CSA start the ball rolling for the DNA test she closes the claim (She's being paid out until this point). Then a few months to a year or two later she will submit a new claim and it starts all over.
I assure you, this is not attention seeking. I have made contact with the mother only to be blocked so I am at the mercy of the CSA now.
Apologies for the 'Americanisms' - I live between the US and UK (Born Scotland) and my laptop is in US mode.
On that note, I'm planning to fully emigrate and cut most ties with the UK (Friends & Family excepted) - I've been up front with the CSA on this subject - Does anyone know what then happens? The mother is aware of this too.0 -

Unless you're paying her, she isnt being 'paid out'. You know her name and address?
Go to the court and get an injunction.0 -

This doesn't sound correct

I am not sure why your case would run differently from any other, like Guest101 suggests the PWC can only get any money if you are actually paying, if you are actually paying then you accept that you maybe the other biological parent.
Beyond that the cases follow a strict regime and your's will be no different, (hence why I suspect you maybe attention seeking) .0 -

Paid out by who exactly? Not you surely if you have not been proven to be the biological father.
Something is missing from this story.
You're either on the birth certificate, which you would have had to agree to at the time the birth was registered, or you would have denied being the father and would have been given the opportunity to have a DNA test when you contested the very first claim.
So are you on the birth cert? Or why didn't you contest the first claim?Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
If you spread time (and apparently seed) between US & UK where is the mother?
You can just take the test. If it comes back positive there's some form you can sign to say you disown/relinquish all responsibility for himMortgage (Nov 15): £79,950 | Mortgage (May 19): £71,754 | Mortgage (Sep 22): £0
