    Hardly a shocking programme.

The general health and safety issues can happen anywhere, in fact they probably do. The silly woman who kneeled on the freezer should be sacked for not following procedure.

I too have seen out of date produce in other supermarkets. The date issue isn't a problem for me, I have a good look at what I'm buying, as I do anywhere.

The targets set are no secret, even I was aware of the targets set upon their staff. It doesn't bother me being rushed through the till. I find it more frustrating waiting in a queue whilst customer chat with the till operator. I'd rather be in and out quickly. I can also bag in my own time, bag as I like without being rushed.

My local Aldi was still busy yesterday. I've been in after work many times and customer levels were still the same.

I hate being rushed through the till at Aldi. I feel that my shopping is being thrown at me. I use a basket and not a trolley, you have to leave them on the floor once you have unloaded onto the belt. I then go down to the other end and put my own shopping bags on the floor and hurriedly try and pack them in some kind of order, while the operator is waiting with drawer open to take my payment. There's no way I can get to the packing shelf with my loose items. Cash or card they ask, mostly it's cash with me. They have the change ready even before I have taken the money out of my purse. Not a nice experience.

I've not shopped in Aldi for a while as it's just too much of a faff trying to park unfortunately and when I have gone in later in the evening it's not been fully stocked.

Both my local Aldis have off-putting car parks. Twice in the space of a fortnight I had my car scraped in one of them, while I was inside shopping. The spaces are far too small and are badly arranged.

There may be something about some Aldi's customers' driving too, as it hasn't happened anywhere else and I see some particularly atrocious driving there.

I now consciously avoid shopping at Aldi during busy periods, not because of the crowds in the shop but because I have a new car I want to keep looking that way, at least for a while!

I went to our Aldi yesterday morning (where I have been shopping since it opened 22 years ago), to find it un-naturally quiet for a Thursday. I just hope this ridiculous programme hasn't done what it appeared to set out to do - and put people off shopping there. If so more fools them for being taken in by this witch hunt!

My Aldi was as busy as ever today BUT I'm convinced they were slowing down putting the shopping through. I commented as such to the cashier at my till and she said 'oh it's just me'. I pointed out her colleague at the next till (Assistant Manager who's worked there for years) who was similarly slower although she's usually manic. Explanation was 'She's getting tired because it's almost the end of her shift'. I wonder??
  • Damn I can feel a price increase/Tesco style customer service improvement coming

Leave Aldi/Lildl alone please I want the good prices/service they provide :D

And then we, the true Aldi people, can get all the bargains!

Cover it with all the plastic bags you keep moaning about and it might save your car getting scratched. ;)

Well I have seen a newspaper article somewhere where Lidl are updating some stores with shelf's and tills to a more modern look. A very modernism look like something out of 1984:eek:

If either Aldi or Lidl introduce a Tesco style customer service, I will personally hunt the CEO's down!!! :rotfl:

What a terrible attitude :rotfl: what about all the ignorant Tesco shoppers?

Just because us True Aldi shoppers know when to put the divider down and let someone in front of u when they have 2 items :D (also applies in Lidl)

True Aldi shoppers still have manners :rotfl:
