  • Got back from a 2 day trip and the housemate has moved out, found the keys on the bench and all the furniture gone... Was a bit of a shock. Now I am in a mad scramble to find a new housemate before Christmas will see how that goes.
On the bright side I am visiting family for a week on Tuesday so can be the daughter that eats all their food and save my money incase I need to cover all the rent.
Have potted a whole $5 this week and will have more once the puppy gets desexed tomorrow is it slightly evil of me that I am looking forward to him wearing the cone of shame?

. I assume the furniture belonged to the housemate in the first place and it wasn't your stuff that was taken.
  • Have potted £3.35. Change from yesterday.

Jakes-mum you did make me laugh. My sons now 16 and the exact same. Last week he took a day of work to go Christmas shopping and I needed to come with him, an hour in a bmx shop then what will I buy for my sisters, I said you choose....took forever.

Last year it was 100 phone calls, slight exaggeration but it felt like it ☺.

It was his first time being allowed to shop alone (well partly alone as DH took him to get mine and DD's presents as gawd knows what he would have got us!) but I REALLY didn't think he would be THAT useless :rotfl: then again his dad is exactly the same! I now add everything I want to his amazon account (that I have already added our address and his CC too) he then goes through and deletes what he doesn't want to buy, clicks through to pay (while i shout 'don't bally click yes on any pop ups! I don't want amazon prime OR an amazon CC!) then clicks pay :rotfl:

Nah, that's one with we never run the risk of, jakes-mum, we're all unique on here...especially you!!! :rotfl: Heaven help is if there were more than ONE!!!!!!
I wish it was a cold thingy, it woudn't be bally painful like this.

Are you certain young Jake wasn't swapped at birth??!!

I once read a thread where a Jakesmum was commenting away happily  completely threw me as I couldn't remember posting any of the comments and they didn't match my family info, took me about an hour to realise there was no hyphen in the name and it wasn't me :rotfl:

Ahh I know its a horrible thing to have, I just couldn't spell the blasted name and couldn't think how else to describe it :o The love and best wishes were still there though :D

If DS didn't look the spit of my dad I would have questioned his parentage. Does make me laugh that he is the spit of my side but is soooooo his fathers son and DD is the spit of her dad but is 100% me when it comes to money and [STRIKE]attitude[/STRIKE] loveliness :D

Just been reading the thread and feel a bit guilty that I haven't put anything in for a couple of days, so raided purse and put all the silver and coppers in the pot (pig) just left the pound coins in or I wouldn't have anything for next week.

Hi everyone, hope you're all well and looking forward to Christmas!

I haven't posted for a couple of weeks, my father-in-law sadly passed away so it's been a sad, tough time.

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know I haven't forgotten you all or given up. So, jumping back in to posting my potting - shiny £2 coin in the pot today x
