Hi
Can I join the sealed pot challenge please. Unofficially do it at the moment and have managed to save this year. But would like to try really hard next year and need to keep on track - this could do the trick:beer:0 -
Hi Bozbear - come on in an welcome to the thread!

Have a great weekend everyone3-6 Month EF #33 £450/£50000 -
I am back! As always raring to go at the start but hopefully will last a bit longer this year instead of stalling. My partner has been saving his £2 coins and got loads in just a couple of months so he will spur me on to greatness!
Going to sort out my spare room so my pots are accessible at least, and start keeping my eye out for Roadkill!
Happy Christmas everyone and see you in January.

I tend not to use cash all that often, so I don't always have any oddments in my purse at the end of the week. However, after a weekend away I had a few loose coins weighing my purse down, so I've potted them today - £1.19 in my sealed pot!SPC9 #499

That's all sorted out thanks, Ruth, I messed it up, but thankfully jakes-mum was on her toes. I have sinusitis at the moment and am putting it down to that.£3.48 potted today. I now have one for pound coins, one for silver and one for copper? Is that excessive? Haha interested to know if you all have seperate pots or if you bung it all in one?
Great savings, Evo! Until SPC 8 I've always had 1 pot for each denomination, but it's getting a bit much now so I'll probably keep it down to 3 = 1 Terramundi for £2s, 1 Wooden Cow for the rest of the change and 1 Wooden Chicken for notes. .....and you??!
VERY WELL DONE indeed, Chutney!!! :T Great saving and have a wonderful time with your OH! :jHi can I just ask what everyone is using pot wise please. Ie I'm using a roasted peanuts Xmas tin for my £2 coins , a rainy day can for my silver change which is a bit to accessible in that I can pull the lid off and a celebrations tin for my coppers. Thankyou
Hi lincs, I'm using a Terramundi for £2s, 1 Wooden Cow for the rest of the change and 1 Wooden Chicken for notes; all are extremely hard to open though I certainly wouldn't do so, but you know what I mean. I started off with a drinking chocalate tub. Yours sound perfectly ok, BUT - be sure to cellotape that rainy day can well!
Great potting, 12 month challenge! Keep it up.
Thanks 32b3, you too. So, 2 more meals to go...enjoy em!
Good to see you dropping in again, Cherry, that'll be fine leaving your saving until after Christmas, whatever you're happy with.

Crikey Daddybear, what a load of roadkill you found too!!!! Banks & CC folk really do make me mad, forever trying to tempt us to spend - so they can get their greedy mits on a LOT of it!!!! :mad:mugwump79 wrote:Its so very mild and I am sick of this rain, hate to say it but I want it to be cold now so i can stick my bobble hat on
