I know I'm a bit late but can I join in please, I will have to cobble a pot together(just might sellotape a tin up) but I have a purse where I collect spare bits of money so that will be my first contribution to it, not sure how much is in there but not much I suspect as I took all the notes and silver out a couple of weeks ago to go towards Xmas presents!!!!

Having a quiet day as the Xmas presents are all bought bar a few batteries for one of them. The family have decided to only buy for the children so that's cut the cost down somewhat, only hope I'm not supposed to buy for my grown up children !!!!!!!!

Anyway back to knitting for a couple of hours before I have to go out babysitting for dd 3, it won't be a late late night, but she does live 30 mins car journey away so I won't get in until early hours. Still I can lie in tomorrow as I'm not planning on going out.

A very good afternoon, Potters, I hope you're all enjoying a lovely weekend! Not much of a day and a very cold gusty wind down here. Stay warm, safe and healthy everyone!{{{Hugs}}} to all our family members who may be feeling poorly, I do hope you're all much better soon. :)

Think I'm going to go for a new tactic of transferring money on a sunday to one of my current accounts and that is my budget for the week. Then whatever is left over at the end of that week will go into the pot. I'm on for a good week as new budget is this sunday and I still have £12.40 in the bank so a tenner of that will get withdrawn and put in tomorrow.

That sounds like an excellent idea, Evo! :D Y'know it's so lovely to see folk thinking hard about the best way of saving, it shows just how committed you are, so you go ahead and be happy as well as proud! :j

You're very welcome, Lynne, though I can only say again, many thanks for helping me out so much. carbootcrazy's so right with her words, you're such a lovely caring person. :kisses3: Well done with that £10er; and where the yoghurt's concerned...of course people eat it!! ;) However.....ah, best not go into anything more than that. :rotfl:

    BTW
. I've told DH that I love him, given him a gert big hug too...and DD when she came round on the cadge last night!! ;)
Great potting everybody - £3.53 for me today

P.s Thanks for my number sue-uu

You're most welcome, Brass_Triumphant, and well done with the potting!
    Weekend is here :j

Ive pushed the boat out and potted a £5 note. It was sitting in my purse and I couldn't resist. :)

    Have a good weekend all

:T Ooooh you little devil you, 12 month challenge, what can I say apart from brilliant saving!!!!!! :j

oooooh your poor little DD, jakes-mum!! Bad enough with the finger, but then to have a poorly tummy through the night; could well have been something she ate...though it's that time of year, who knows. Good to hear she's better today and helping YOU watch some Christmas films. I remember what you're like of old!! ;)

Hello there curly and well done with yor potting....and the roadkill!!

    Good for you, 32b3.

That's it, Westie, far better saved!! ;)

I'm saying nothing about the yoghurt, tatabubbly. :silenced: Lynne says people eat it...what more can I say. :silenced: That bowl of cash sounds perfect for the pot!

I'm pleased you enjoyed the day, TheCatsandDogsMother, enjoy your gifts when the time comes as well.

Now there's a lovely sum, Chutney, excellent!!

:xmassmile Have a really LOVELY WEEKEND, Potters, and remember....those POTS need food!! _party_
