No slacking from me I promise!!

So I can get more then!! Woohoo. I was worried about how it'd look on my credit rating.

The old forum is so much better. I couldn't get on with the new one at all!!

I didn't get on with the new one either, didn't like the blue, tbh I say that about every update apple ever brings out, Including the new one that doesnt allow me to swipe anymore on my iPad and I keep activating the camera, doing my head in...

Hello there ETO! :hello: It's wonderful to see you back with us. Not great to see that you've got so much more in debt but if you're going back to work then hopefully it will gradually start to rise even though you're on a reduced wage. The challenge of reducing your debt will take time but keep a firm hold on your spending reigns and it all helps. Savings wise let's hope a fresh start will see you having chance to gradually pot some aside in safety.
How's your DH and those 2 little treasures of yours?! :A:A Chin up ETO!! :D

Thank you Sue. The family is all good thank you. My boy is now 3.5 and a right character, madam is 10 months and walking. both of them are definitely keeping me on my toes.
I'm really trying to focus myself who regards to money, spending and saving. Now I think about it I was doing much better when I was coming on this site more regularly.
Hope you're well and all is good with your family.

Only declaring £50 this year. Disappointed but I just didn't have anything spare this year.

    Must try harder. :D:D

It is so inspiring seeing the total amounts saved

I would like to declare £1313.38

I am using £1000 for my wedding dress (exciting) and banking the £313.78 to go towards our holiday in the summer to Disneyland Paris.

I can't believe I have managed to clear all my debts and save that amount

Tizzi, you really have done extraordinarily well this year and have so much to hold your head high about!! :D It's amazing just how much can be achieved when one really sets out to clear debts and...SAVE, especially with a wedding ahead!!!!! :love:Congratulations on your fantastic Total it's so very much and you must be bursting with pride, and so you should!!!!!!! :j:T:j
Hi Sue, I'm happy with that converted amount.
Just wanted to say thanks for keeping me motivated to save and reduce debt this year. The same goes for everyone else, it's a lot easier when you have encouragement and support.

It's good to hear that it was the correct amount that I'd coverted, TheCatsandDogsMother! I must admit your words about having so much support from so many here on SPC truly does help to keep us all well motivated!! :D
Im in Copenhagen now and just reading through some of today's posts totally amazed at some of the amounts being declared! Telling DH about them and he also can't believe it.

Just a point for next year, remember that there is going to be a new one pound coin, although not sure when it is. I don't want us to get caught out with lots of them in our tins and then we can't do anything with them.....

I guess what Westie says is true, MrsC....tobe, we do always get fair warning of such happenings, but if you have any reservations whatsoever then pop your £1 coins in a Holding Pot/Purse so you have piece of mind, either that or swap them for £2 coins.

Westie - are you seriously declaring £14842 as in 14 thousand plus? (it doesn't look at all right to me!)
If it's something irrelevant that you're talking about with Ruth then please could you tell me the correct sum of your savings?
However, if as far as you're concerned it is correct Total for SPC and other MSE challenges is correct could you please tell me exactly which challenges they are for?!

Hi again ETO and very well done with your savings!!! :T It's still a fairly good amount but I understand you're disappointment. I know it isn't a great deal, but some of us are up against a brick wall at times. You're correct though in saying that you did used to save a lot more when you came to the thread regularly, try again and see if you can start to turn things around a bit for you.

It's so good to hear about the progress of your two young treasures, yourself too, I hope you're ok.

    Psst,
    guess what!
I have just counted my pots :j:j.
I knew there was no way I could wait til Sunday to countup,so have spent the last two hours counting my pots/re-counting my pots, admiring the look of lots of coins, esp £2 coins!

I had 4 pots(well,3 and an overflow for the last 2 months). This year I didn't weight or photograph them and their contents :o,and I haven't bagged up the money yet (a job for the weekend),but my total for SPC# is £840.75 including £304.40 in my £2 tin (I know,I know :o). ,which I am very pleased with. All of my tins had notes in them,so that was always a lovely surprise.

In my head,I had been telling myself for a few days that I might get close to £1000,but that was based on nothing in particular, and this is a record for me (3rd SPC year).
Remember how devastated I was last count-up-day?For months after count-up day,I kept looking for a bag of counted-up notes that must have slipped behind the sofa while I was counting up.Was sure I had lost some notes.

Thank you so much for running this thread,Sue.You are wonderful. You reply to every single post individually, and are so encouraging.Thank you for your fantastic support.

Must go to bed now-up at 7.30 for school/work tomorrow

Hi there Saver-upper! The time has come at least, and I'm truly thrilled to see just how much you've saved!!!!!!! Ok you'd perhaps have hoped for a thousand, but after the year it's been for you all as a family you've saved so hard to give you all a terrific Christmas!! Many congratulations and be oh so very proud of yourself!!!!! :j:T:j
I think I can recall your devastation from last year, and living as you had been, it was hardly any wonder you thought one was missing, but that was a year ago, time to stick with the here and now and just gleem with pride! :grinheart You're too kind with your words, but I do really appreciate them, thank you! :kisses3: See you on SPC 10 Saver.

    Hi everyone,

apologies for my fairly rubbish attendance to this thread again this year.....I say it every year, but next year I really will join in more :A

Anyway, I just opened my pot, and my total for this year is £1026.50, and an elastic band (not sure how that got in there...the band, not the money)!!

Well done to everyone else for their fantastic savings pots, best of luck for the next challenge
