I am 1kg off losing 4 stone. My diet allows for a Chinese if i plan it in.

I mostly manage about 3,000 steps a day. Sitting behind a computer all day just really doesn't help. Hopefully ill be able to keep it up for the most part after November too. It can only help my weight loss right?

I'm so excited about counting up! it's going to be a total surprise this year.

That's a marvellous loss Ruth, congratulations to you!!! :T You've done so well, especially as you have an office job, it isn't easy but goes to show that it can be done! Enjoy that Chinese, I will be doing so too possibly not until next week, but I have a To Do list waiting! :D
So pleased to hear you're sooooo excited!!!!! :j

Not wondered from where it came, just surprised that you would spend money eating out as you always seem to budget for every penny. However, given what you said the other day I think it's a darned good idea. It's a great way of celebrating friends' Birthdays, keeping friendships going and generally keeping the spirits lifted as it gives you something to look forward to! Be happy...life's too short not to be! :)

You are right Sue - I've always budgeted and am currently using a budgeting app called Ynab to do so. Budgeting is liberating - once my bills and essentials are budgeted for, the rest I can save or spend according to my priorities. The Ynab philosophy is to get you to understand what your priorities are and budget for them.

Would you believe that I've a WI lunch coming up on Friday and have been invited out by friends for Saturday and they always want to eat out too! Living in my own I find that my social life seems to revolve around seeing friends for a meal and the WI (book club, 2 monthly meetings and I'm on the committee as well).

My eldest daughter has invited me to celebrate a birthday of a friend of hers on Sunday, but that is at my daughter's house. Tomorrow I will be in town and must remember to get a birthday present for her.
