  • blimey I haven't popped by since May! that's no good.

been super busy. long story short struggling financially after being forced from the job post maternity. the company I was with previously said they had a team manages position. I applied. I accepted the offer post interview and back I have gone. so bit more stable financially. very proud not to have broken into the pot. my nearly 18 month old loves to fill it up for me on a Monday.

    hope everyone is well.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Morning all, hope all are well.
Sorry, I've been missing, but I have been saving and signed in today to announce I've hit my £600 target. That's Xmas sorted again this year and I might try and save another £100 before 'weigh in day'.
I've actually started the Xmas stash now, just bits each week, like drinks etc. Trying to be well organised this year. lol

I'll have a little read back now, but wishes to all and hopefully see many new members along with the 'oldies'. :D

Thank you Sue-UU, we did have a fabulous holiday. It all seems like a dream now though! My sympathies with your broadband - our home broadband is so slow sometimes that it takes all my effort to stop DH from throwing the router out of the window.

Sorry for you loss little_sweetie, it sounds like you had a tough time.

Haven't got any change at the moment but will be popping in to the supermarket on my way home from work, so I know I'll have something for my pot later on.

    Morning pottersssssssssssssssss

Little-Sweetie - so sorry for your loss, hugs to you and all your family.

Hickles - Your baby cannot be 18 months  its all zooming past

Ooo Mummytummy, that is a dilema, i'd probably open early as I wouldn't be able to pot while I was away anyway, and then if i had any holiday spends left over when I got back bung it in the shiny new pot :D

Well, sorry i've been AWOL, my eldest got hit by a car last week so been dealing with him. He is fine, amazingly no broken bones at all, I swear the child is made of rubber! he certainly has 9 lives (though I think we are now down to 6 or 7). He's on crutches as his legs are very bruised so don't want to work properly but he is already back to his usual chip on shoulder self!

I've had 2 lots of cashback this week :j :j £30 for switching my energy and £29 odd from old energy supplier as I was in credit, so getting that out today and putting it in the pot :D going to get it all in £2 coins as still got 3cm of room left :O

What a lucky boy you have jakes-mum. I hope he's thanked his lucky stars :starmod::starmod: It's amazing how flexible some children are; my daughter tripped over someone in the playground when she was 7 and broke her leg; my son threw himself off trees/played rugby etc etc - never broke anything but his little finger!

Well I put 71p in the pot last night. I should have had more change today, but I've left my purse at home (accidentally, I might add). It's caused me a major headache as I need my business cards to process payments in work! Oh well, it'll all have to wait until tomorrow.

Have a lovely Tuesday everyone :D

Hell all SPCers, I hope you're all fine, all able to save whatever you can as and when you can too..it'll all make a huge difference for Christmas! :grinheart

To those of you unwell or with any problems, here are some special {{{hugs}}} to help you get well soon. We're all thinking of you. :grinheart
Hello dear Sue and hi to fellow potters,

Remember me?? So sorry I haven't been around for a long time but my lovely FiL passed away after a traumatic (make that very traumatic) illness at home followed by almost 6 weeks in hospital where they were pulling out all the stops to send him home to an empty flat when he was clearly bed bound, very ill and confused. His death certificate shows bone marrow failure and sepsis. We were distraught and feeling very helpless and pressured.....

Hello little_sweetie, my very dear friend, it's so good to see you back but I am so terribly sorry to read about your dear FIL passing away like that. :( It is such a shame to get to the age that he was and have to suffer so much toward the end, poor chap. You and G must have been beside yourselves at all the awful torment of it all. My deepest condolences to you and definitely to G, I will be in touch very shortly. I shall miss hime as all too often he came up in your posts, no doubt you've some cherished memoried of him to hang on to. :)

Lovely to see you back to, Hicksy, and to see you stayed firmly away from your pot even know going through tough times! :T It sounds as though you've got yourself together again with your job now, good for you, I am really pleased for you. It's lovely to see a beautiful mental image of your little treasure potting all your cash, bless him. :A

Never mind about the exact amount you've potted. TheCatsandDogsMother, at least it's safe. Have you changed the $6 cheque yet?

Hello hello hello Lynsey, it's great to see you again too! :j By eck you've been saving exceedingly well, not that I should be in the least bit surprised after all it is almost the end of September! It's a lovely time of year to have Christmas covered, very well done! :T

No problem at all, mummytummy, you concentrate on enjoying your visit and declare your savings just as soon as you land!! ;) That'll be fine. :D Having said that, if you feel better declaring it before you go, safety and all that, then by all means please do; up to you entirely.

I'm really not surprised that your DH gets exasperated with your router, siju, ours didn't arrive with a name but I've heard my hubby christen it with a few just lately! The new one has arrived and all being well we should have fibre optic on this time next week. The best thing is that we get ultra fast FO for only a £1 a month for 18 months and a little while ago they were selling it for £12 a month!! :rotfl: Lucky or what and now worth the inconvenience! :D

I'm so chuffed you enjoyed your holiday, though I understand how soon it all becomes dreamlike, keep the memories going. :j

Brilliant savings you've made, jakes-mum, and well worth changing it all over!
Thank Heavens Jake was fortunate enough to escape far worse injuries!! Kides eh and the grey hairs they give us.

A fast worker eh, horseygirl, very well saved!

Another lot in the pot, Chutney!

Just in case I'm unable to get on tomorrow folks.....

I Have a craking weekend. Keep up the potting whatever you do!

    Sue xx
