Hello all Potters, some amazing savings going on here!! :T By golly isn't the time just whizzing past.....and we're getting soooooo close to declaration day!!! :j
To those of you poorly or with any problems, here are some special {{{hugs}}} to help you get well soon. We're all thinking of you. :grinheart
All the very best to you with those sales, Horseygirl, let's hope they bring you in a fair bit extra! :jI think I'm going for the smallest amount potted this year
Just another penny to add. I literally never have any cash. Lots of online shopping and home deliveries paid by card for me as I live a 20 minute drive from the nearest cashpoint. Rural life, eh!
I'm so sorry to hear that, Dizzy Imp, have you any local shops or a post office that you can get a certain amount out each week simply for the sole purpose of saving?
If not why not join the Virtual Sealed Pot her on MSE? You can still include the savings from that here on SPC.
WOW Saver-upper something seems to have been mighty wrong with the MOT folk to have missed whatever was wrong, though I know they don't check everything on a car but......! What a blow!
By golly you were amazingly lucky with that £14 odd roadkill - talk about some you win some you lose!!! :dance:Altogether it sounds like a fantastic some that you've been able to part, brilliant work!!
Well saved, siju! I'm so looking forward to declaration day too, not much longer to wait!! :j
You're nothing if not regular with your amounts eh, Chutney!!
You be careful where you're talking about summer having arrived, CatsandDogsMother, as we're fast approaching winter here!! Apart from that...good saving!
Another £15 for the pot this week, it's all mounting up!!Have a brilliant weekend folks. Keep up the potting whatever you do!

2 x £2s potted tonight.
Off to London tomorrow till Sunday. Hoping to see Mr Cumberbatch (at an event, not stalking him despite what people think of I do :rotfl:) but main thing is treating my friend to a night out who has recently had 3 brain surgeries (well, 1 main op and 2 follow-ups due to infection). He will just be an added bonus if he does indeed appear. Plus coincidentally it's almost a year (on Monday) since we saw him in Hamlet!!

It's freezing here and blowing a hooley. Had to have the heating on this week
Potted my usual £10 today.
Dizzy - I'm the same as you, but always keep a couple of tenners in my purse in case of emergency such as a taxi. Maybe you could do the same
Hope you all have a super duper weekend

I hope to escape tomorrow my £1 & £2 coin pot needs feeding, nearly opening time.

Evening all, hope all are well.
Potted £20 from a cashback site and another £10 from myself.
That puts me on £650 and it'll be tight to get that £700. If I can pot £20 or more this week, I'll have a chance.
This time next week we should be landing in Tenerife, if the plane is on time. The € rate is rubbish though and it will be a lot more expensive. Expecting it to cost £100 more than normal.
Be lucky if you're playing the rollover tonight.
If I win on my own, I'll donate £100 to each Sealed Pot member.
Don't bank on it though.
A few more bits put away for Xmas, including a turkey breast joint reduced in Morries for just over £2. I wasn't going to do turkey, but I will now. Just need some cheap pork.**** Sealed Pot Challenge - Member #96 ****

Well, you know how in May we moved back into our house after the extension?Well,it has been slow getting everything back into place, but the house is really looking lovely now.My OH is a hoarder, and all his [STRIKE]rubbish[/STRIKE] precious belongings were all throughout the house. He converted the new garage himself (and it looks beautiful-I am jealous:fully insulated, cladding on the wall, laminated floor, storage) for all his [STRIKE]tat[/STRIKE] precious belongings,3 computer tables .......
As much as having his [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE] precious belongings around the rest of the house has been driving me crazy,I didn't want to just chuck it out of the main part of the house into the garage, cos that would have just made him despondent about trying to sort through it,so I have let him keep it in boxes stacked untidily around the house. Then for about the last 4 weekends he has been moving stuff into the garage, and the rest of the house is suddenly having great swathes of space re-appear after 13 months:eek:,boxes full of stuff are going into the garage and empty boxes are coming out,as well as bath-towels that have been used for 13months to stop his mountains of [STRIKE]detritus[/STRIKE] precious belongings, scratching the walls.
Meanwhile,I have been doing some decluttering.Sold an under-counter freezer for £20 :j,which has gone into my pot today.
While OH was sorting stuff out yesterday,he let me count out 3 containers full of loose change he had found while clearing out the old garage for demolition. £204 sitting right there
.He also had £6 in 50p pieces left over,so I bought those off him,and potted that as well,so £26 potted today.Really pleased I am catching up a bit in the last couple of weeks, after a couple of very lean months. SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76
