  • £2.30 potted tonight, change after a rather wet and windy walk.
Need to get the train over to Mum's tomorrow so there might be some more then - I'm a devil for cups of tea on train journeys :o

  • New pot purchased, one of those large cans which you need to get a can opener to get into was a good idea, not that I might open it but I actually want it to be a surprise on how much I have saved..

I would love to have three pots by the due date full so that's my aim..

Money in pot from coins put on the side went in, plus OH emptied his coins out of his pocket to start the empty tin off, lucky for me the car park machine was out of order in town, so the £4 I would have spent is going on, £2 on the side I spotted have also gone in, so good start for me..

I also have loads of change in my car in a compartment so must remember to get that and put in in.

    Pleased with my good start

Good old OH eh, tatabubbly! ;)

Some nice potting work going on this close to Christmas. I've been a little quiet on here as working lots of extra hours to help with the costs of Birthdays and Christmas but have continued potting here and there. Bank account took a hit today as I've helped my DD buy her first car and make her road legal. No way I would have achieved that a few months ago prior to my lightbulb moment I'd have been scratching around to make it through the month. Now I'm thinking about everything I spend and saving/earning at every opportunity, and what a difference it has made :)

    SP x

You have been quiet, stormpassing, but it's wonderful to hear how you've benefitted due to a brilliant LBM! We've all needed a wake-up call at sometime or another so you're not alone. :) Tell your DD to be sure to stay safe and not take risks - as you've already done, but...! ;)

Please lexbubbles, or anyone else - kindly don't put such huge images on the thread in future, I'm having a terrible job viewing and answering posts tonight. Sad to say, the photo of your pots can't even be seen properly as a result. :( See the part on the 1st post that says about sizing, thanks.

It's lovely to hear you enjoyed the play, Kerry, I somehow thought you would. :D

Now there's a FIRST for you for certain, jakes-mum....you sounded as I am now - speechless!!! :rotfl: Sorry to hear about the meal, but I bet they'll wish they hadn't messed with you before long. ;)

I'm a devil for [STRIKE]cups[/STRIKE] mugs:coffee: of tea full stop, TheDapster!

A very good day for you, TheMillions, and I'm so pleased you know exactly what to do with money saved such as the CP cost. Good luck with your hopes for 3 pots! :D

Oh, what a wonderful day you've had, Westie, there's nothing quite like sharing time with little treasures. :A Good potting too!
Have a really lovely Sunday, SPCers, but TAKE CARE in the fierce winds and lashing rain....keep potting though!!

    Jan 2025 £26561.43/£0. I want to clear £9000 this year (2025)
  • Well, I went out last night and brought 2 sealed tins. I may be a bit optimistic buying two. But I thought I'd rather get two now and have one for next year instead of having to go out again and buy another one.
I've also hidden them in the bottom drawer of my chest, away from tempting eyes of the other half when he is 10p short of his train fare! haha.

I also found £1 this morning, just sitting on the floor between the sofa and coffee table (I suspect it's the other halfs before he went to bed this morning - but it's mine now! Muahahaha into the pot it goes)
