I joined a while back but not having much luck due to relationship problems (he ever used to pay for much at all and so I used my money on him when I shouldn't have) but now I've broken up with him & I want to start to rebuild my life again as I literally have no money saved up (had to use it to cover myself more than twice in the last 6 months)

I'm going to have to count everything up again tomorrow - I have next to nothing left.

welcome back positivelypunked sorry about your breakup, it's never easy no matter how much of a plonker they are in the end, we invest so much of ourselves in our relationships with people in our lifetime and each one teaches us lessons about what's important and what's not...

If you've not looked at the first page, you're still there #54 just take each day as it comes whatever you can manage to pot is still more than you had yesterday :)

Thank you so much, I feel really happy about not being with him.
I have more time to focus on my goals and become who I want.
Next time when I date someone, I'll ask if they have a job first aha.
Money isn't that important to me but it is when I'm left with nothing and have bills and travel to pay for.

    And thank you.
I'm going to rummage my bags & purses to see how much I have & I will start from there.
    onwards and upwards now!
    :grouphug:

    happy easter!

Happy belated birthday Siju, I hope you had a lovely day :D I once tried to explain the 21 again rule to my niece, I said 'once ladies get to 29 years old they then only have 21'st birthdays so I am 21 again this year' she said 'no your not Auntie Jakesmum, your 35, my mummy told me so!' Thankfully as shes got older she's learnt a to accept my reality :rotfl:

Ahh Saver Upper, hope you get your painter sorted, it was the same when my mum had her kitchen ripped out and extended, it just seemed to be an age of nothing getting done and then suddenly everyone was running round like maniacs and it was like 'tah dah! its done!'

Happy easter my lovely Sue, I will send you a pm in a minute . . if I remember . . . cos i'm a bit cac in the memory department :D, so if I don't could you remind me that I was going to pm you :rotfl:

Good luck positivelypunked, we'll be cheering you on from the sealed pot side lines *\o/*

2 x £2 coin courtesy of DH's pub visit yesterday and a bit of shrapnel I heard rattling around in his trouser pocket! Don't worry Sue, I made sure he was in the middle of the room before I tackeld him too the ground, leg locked him and forced the hand over of said change! Well, wouldn't want him banging his head would I :D

Sorry, what is this 'change' you speak of?! Not sure my DD grasps that concept when I give her lunch money (although admittedly it's only once a week)!! :p :rotfl:

:rotfl: It was my own school lunch when I couldn't be bothered to make my own lunch. :) I can order a jacket potato, although to be fair all the food is great.

£1 potted today. I'll be taking some change to the bank this week, but need to tot up what I've got.

Just actually got round to potting £30 out of sons £40 kitchen money. The best £40 ever spent, he has hours of fun with it. I could sell all his other toys as he never looks at them now!
Off to update total in signature.....

I'm thinking of upgrading my Fitbit when I open the full tin. We're off on holiday soon so might get one cheaper at the airport...
