I have money saved for such repairs and replacements so I don't have to dip into my sealed pot - good job, as there wouldn't be enough in there for all I need.
Such a shame you came back to so many things having gone wrong, Frogletina, but you're a very level-headed girl and do the right thing in saving brilliantly, a huge amount to be said for that!I'm thrilled to bits it was compensated with you having so many memories of a truly wonderful holiday! :grinheart
Thanks 32b3, memorable is definitely the word for it. :heartsmil Re the traveling and tiredness, I think it's the same for us all, no matter what the distance or the reason.
Good and regular saving, Dragon Lily!
I'm not sure if on your sig the amount taken out is included, MrsC....tobe, but if it's not then please add it so you don't forget.I opened my sealed tin today as I though it was full however when opened I found it was only 3/4 full oh well I trotted into town anyway and paid £50 off my credit card and bought two more tins one to put my 5 & 10ps in and one to put my 50s & 20ps in I haven't counted the 1& 2ps up yet. I have restarted the count by putting £14 in today.
You can't tell the difference between 3/4 full and actually full, Lincs?! Anyway, please could you add the cash taken out to your siggy?
Very well done, 12 month challenge, fingers crossed for your weekend haul however much it is!
Brilliant work, mrs-moneypenny, and well done for keeping an eye on DH's side of the bed!! :rotfl:

I managed to pot £5 tonight. I have a cold and did not feel like cooking (any excuse) I popped to the chip shop for DH and I didn't want anything so a cheap takeaway.
I potted the £5 change before I spent it on rubbish.
I love this challenge. Why didn't I join it before

Not taken anything out yet Sue, still tightly sealed for the moment.
Haven't managed my Friday potting yet, little fella fell asleep on me on the sofa and I ended up having to strip and change him top to toe and put him to bed while he was sound so I didn't manage to get to the bank.
