Hello all, its been a few weeks since I last reported my pottings and its been rather manic! Turns out hubby and I were a lot luckier than we first thought and are expecting our second bundle of joy ahead of schedule this October!
Although I've neglected you lot (sorry!), I've not neglected my pot and have deposited various notes and coins made in tips at work and left over from notes after trips to town. Hope you all are well! Penny xSealed pot challenge 10 - 123 : )
It all started with a penny and a pot..

I also put £52 a week in (ten years of that and I'd be mortgage free) can I count that or is it too much? I guess I could deduct all the notes come count up time
Hi Dolly - nice to see you hereSue runs this thread and is wonderful at keeping everyone motivated. She will be along to welcome you very soon x
I have a handful of shrapnel to add to my sealed piggy which is all I have left after half-term. Roll on Monday...56p in total added tonight...0 -

I'd be paying that money into the mortgage direct and not putting it into my pot. Think of the interest you'd be saving if you paid it straight in. I'd also be thinking of the amount of money that you're keeping in the house security wise....No longer ...tobe! I didn't have any cash in my purse all week again, so the same as last week, I withdrew £20 at the cash point, bought my £4.99 bottle of wine and then potted the rest without putting the 1p in the change pots! That's b£15.01 in the penny savings for me this week and another few days off the 300s again. Getting there slowly but surely.

I must say that I agree with Mrs C re the mortgage though. I think Sue would say you can add it to your total, as it is all still savings
Potted my weekly £10 today, so slowly growing.
Hope you all have a super weekend and stay warm and dry

I know it is silly to lose out on interest but i manage to stick to the terramundi system better than banking it in a week to week basis, I don't let it build up too much before banking the notes for exactly the security reasons you mention - I retrieve the notes, bank and pop a note back in with the total of what I removed
All very complicated I know but it works for me!!!0 -
Congratulations pennydreams3!
