Just having a little read through and catch up while at work and thought I'd check my purse. It's a good job I've still got some coins left over from London (kept some out instead of potting incase I needed them) and they'll be going in this week, otherwise I wouldn't have had much to pot this coming Friday.
Had my first no spend day of the month yesterday, today would have been the same if Vax hadn't sent me an invite to buy a cordless hoover from them with a code for it at £54.99 instead of £199.99!!! I wouldn't have been getting one otherwise even though I've been looking for a while. Hope it's a goodie then I can get rid of the very old and heavy to use Dyson.

£3 potted this morning as per another Use Up on my No Toiletreis Challenge.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Lots of good potting going on and exciting events in people's lives by the sound of things:beer:

Nothing whatsoever has gone into my sealed pot as have had no-spending days since Friday. I'm hoping I can get through the rest of this week without having to set foot in a shop;). So although I'm managing not to spend anything I don't get any change to pot either. Not exactly win-win is it?:rotfl:

Not sure how so many of you manage to relieve your nearest and dearest of money that they leave lying around. Would never attempt that myself, OH knows the whereabouts of every single penny of his money even if it might appear to be just forgotten about. He would consider it to be stealing from him:eek:. I'm deadly serious:(

I did put my weekly £2 coin into my separate piggy but that's all for this week. Still, every little helps as they say;).

Woo managed to pot a tenner today, it was one I'd spent ages ago for someone else and finally got it paid back. Wasn't expecting it so it went in the pot as a bonus.

    A quick look around
    nobody looking
    nobody claiming it
so thank you very much mr/mrs forgetful shopper. :T

Thats a bit :(, My DH knows that he will be more than compensated for any missing money on opening day so doesn't sweat giving me the odd bit of change, plus he always managed to 'acquire' a bit more than his pocket money allowance each month so in our case i'm mostly taking back OUR money from HIM :rotfl:

I suppose alot would depend on whether people are an all finances together couple or keep it all seperate couple. If you have 'your' bank and he has 'his' bank then it could be seen as stealing from each other to help yourselves to the others change, we are very much 'it's all one pot' with our money, so I wouldn't care if he nicked a £5er out of my purse to buy some chips for tea and he doesn't bat an eyelid about me swiping loose change off a unit for the pot. :)

Soooooooooooo whats been going on since I last poked my head in the door? . . . well . . . . not much, DH and I stayed in today and had a tv day :D, yesterday we decided that we really should stop being lazy so and so's and start making our cakes/biscuits/pies instead of buying them, so we made a coffee cake . . . unfortunately, in the 24 hours since we made it, half of it seems to have gone missing , all I know is it wasn't Jake because it wasn't gluten free :rotfl: Need to try and motivate myself to make a gluten free cake tomorrow or mini 'himself' will start getting the hump with me about 'favouritism' funny how we're always playing favourites in the teenage world when we don't do something that benefits them :rotfl: Might also make some flapjack as i've got G/F oats in the cupboard as well

Right, have I got any money  I know I have a £2 coin and I 'think' I might have some loose change as well! will check and pot what I can find :D

Yes, we're like you jakes-mum, all one finance pot in our house too (although he'd say it's all mine!):rotfl: Joint accounts for everything, makes life much easier - although I do worry that if anything ever happened to me, he'd be totally lost  I suppose it depends on your relationship - as my dear late father would say "the first 20 years are the worst!" :p

Have £3.74 to put in my pot tonight :T It's getting quite full again now :D
