Happy New Year Potters!!
Haven't managed to get on much over Christmas as family and life in general took over but now normal service has been resumed I'm hoping to get back on track with potting.
I did manage to pot a bit of change over the break but haven't really kept track but again hoping to get myself sorted now I actually have a bit of time to myself x£10 a day challenge 2015: £772.72 * January 2016 £116.15/£310 * November 2016 £257.18/£300

I found a pound in a coat pocket and a penny on the floor yesterday, so in the pot they go. In fact, I must find a pot to put this money in today. I've got a large yoghurt pot with lid and handle I might decorate and seal.Books - the original virtual reality.

Found 26p in my drawer at work whilst sorting it out today - that'll be going in my pot later!
I managed to get one of those sealed big tins from Poundworld at the weekend, so even less temptation to dive in to my savings!0 -
Found 28p whilst tidying... In the pot along with a £1 found in my coat pocket :-)))) xx0

Happy New Year!
I think I will keep my virtual pot which includes cashback and also my Tesco Christmas saver separate from my SPC. Just so it is not confusing for me even though they contribute to my Christmas saving. In total I hope to have a total of £750 for Christmas saved. So now I just need to think what my target for my SPC is going to be. I'll go with £300.

Happy New Year everyone
I managed to pot a few pounds over the Christmas period but I'm not sure how much. We didn't go out much as the weather was awful but it was lovely having the family to stay. I tried to have a break from technology as much as possible so I haven't caught up with the thread yet - I'm sure there's lots to catch up on!
Hope you all have a lovely MondaySPC 16 - #09 Totals: 2014 - £264.51 2015 - £207.50 2016 - £396.79 2017 - £369.49 2018 - £484.24 2019 - £309.90 2020 -£282.06 2021- £1839.89 2022 -£1627.830 -

A very good afternoon, all Potty Savers! Let's hope it's a good'n for everyone. We're thinking of any poorly family members and sending you many {{{hugs}}} to make you feel much better soon. Take care all and keep safe and healthy!mrs-moneypenny wrote: »I've used the shrapnel in my purse to take me up to Friday day 53/53p in my tub and also thrown 48p I found in a cupboard in my pot.
Looking forward to saving and being more frugal this year.
Btw. Sadly the lotto win wasn't huge, nearest I've got is winning about £130 the week of my 50s birthday - which paid for a meal out I'd invited friends to, so it was nice the celebration was paid for. Since the lotto has gone up we've cut back on what we wasted on it so that will be a bit extra I can add to my pot
Not to worry, mrs-moneypenny, it wouldn't be the first time, or the last, that I've been caught out in speed reading, and the older I get the more I'm inclined to misread words, best watch out more for that or it could even be costly! :undecided The most DH & I have ever won on the lottery is £84, it felt like a fortune, but, like you, since they've upped the prices AND now the amount of Nos we've stopped it.I wonder if they might have shot themselves in the foot.
Good saving and, don't forget, to pot your savings from being frugal!
Well done on your random 20p, Nicki_Sue, keep up searching for more.Well I'm feeling a tad better, though I'll be honest, I haven't actually attempted getting out of bed yet today so it might all go down hill in a few minutes
.....then I tackled his mate who, after much rummaging, could only produce £2.51, handed me said change and said 'oh you can have it!' I'm like, ummmm no? That's your money! And he said 'Oh it's ok, my dad gives me a couple of quid every day anyway' and walked off leaving it in my hand  so it's in my pot and I'll have to try and get another £2.49 off him another day so I can give him a £5 note :rotfl:
Well here's hoping you're still feeling better now you're (hopefully) out of bed, jakes-mum...I know psyching yourself up, right!
You crafty blighter you on starting on your DH's mate.....and succeeding too!!!!!!!!! I'm absolutely shocked, although as it was successful, what more can I say, apart from send him on down my way!! :rotfl: <<" I'll have to try and get another £2.49 off him another day so I can give him a £5 note">> she says, but you'd super-glue the blighter to your fingers first!!! :rotfl:
A very safe, healthy and Happy New Year to you as well, Rylee! Good to hear you've had a lovely time and are now ready to save again! :jsavingpennies wrote: »I found a pound in a coat pocket and a penny on the floor yesterday, so in the pot they go. Ah, but who's house were you in, savingpennies!!! :rotfl:That's the way to do it though, if they drop or leave it, you pick up the pieves, as with life in general. The large yoghurt pot decorated and sealed sounds perfect for the job in hand!
Well done, abbe89, keep cleaning to find more.Well if you're one of those who could be tempted then it's just as well you got a £land pot to save in. Be good though.

A very safe, healthy and Happy New Year to you also, moneymanager! You do realise you can add the Totals saved on all other MSE challenges don't you? That includes VSP too! So, if you wish to add to your declaration on SPC 8 then please add additional Totals (or one big one) on one post. Thanks. PS. Please could you kindly be on or as near to this year's declaration date of 3rd November as possible please as I honestly thought you'd left us!
Hello siju, and a very safe, healthy and Happy New Year to you as well! Who on earth could blame you for taking a break from technology while it was Christmas, especially when you had the family with you! Never worry about SPC at such a time, which of us would do! Be happy and enjoy life...saving too, but not with counting every penny up!!
Good potting, DFW2020, keep it up.Have a lovely Monday, Potters, though it's NOT a wet one here as was forecast, so here's hoping for you all!! Don't forget to feed those hungry pots!
