Brilliant way to shake off the christmas indulgence.

You are right about the wet Sunday, It hasnt stopped all day....

I know, I wanted to go for a walk. I'm a fair weather person and won't go out and get wet if I can help it.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

    Hi everyone,
would you mind if I join in too please? I always seem to lurk on these forums, but never join in the challenges. I wont put a target amount, as I just want to save some extra money as my son is about to purchase his first home. I would really love to be able to surprise him with some extra cash before next Christmas.
    Many thanks x

Hi, I wonder if I can join the Sealed Pot Challenge please - it sounds great. I'm not going to put any targets on as no idea how much I'm likely to pot but will just put away change/savings made from offers etc.

    Many thanks :)

Thanks Sue sig is updated. This year I'm planning on finishing paying off my credit card and be debt free as well as saving. I get a feeling I will have a reason to save this year which will give me even more determination :-)

You're doing just brilliantly, Tizzi, however, if there's even more of a reason as to why you'llo save even better this time round then all the best to you! ;) Thanks a lot for sorting your No out.

Ah, there you are at last, Chutney! I hope you both had a wonderful time, a good break too. VERY good saving and a safe, healthy and Happy New Year to you both!

Rest well and take things easy, Westie, and I hope you soon feel so very much better, and......can save! ;) Wicked aren't I?! :rotfl:

You're welcome, MrsShazbat, I hope you saw your official Welcome a page or two back, I always do one for all new members.
Good evening. Apologies for my late declaration for 2015. Promise to try harder this year. I did keep saving though!

That's ok, Rose Garden, but don't forget the date this year is 3rd November! :naughty: Didn't you do well [STRIKE]this[/STRIKE] last (I keep forgetting) year you helped push us right up to £51 K!!!!!
Sue, hope your daughter feels better sometime soonis that a cuddle one ? Hope so.

Anyway coins potted after a wee shop Xx.

Thanks so much for that, just trying, she's an adult and with a DH and 5 youngsters of their own that range from 9 - 21! However, no matter what the age, for something like MS a cuddle/hug is always lovely to have. :grinheart A very safe, health and Happy new year to you and yours too!

I hope you both had a wonderful time, Seaotter, and a good rest. A safe, healthy and Happy New Year to you both! Never mind the family looks - pot it wherever you find it! :D

It's good to hear you read avidly, Justforme, pot the same way with hubby too I hope! Good to see you.

Never easy to pot over the Christmas period is it, Brass_Triumphant, but it's good to hear you'll soon be back to it. A safe, healthy and Happy New Year to you too.

A good idea with your cash budget, Nicki_Sue, it sounds as though you've got your savings all sussed! ;)BTW. Who's read end was your avatar modelled from. Simple I guess as you're on MSE it has to be :money:!!!!! :rotfl:

At a girl, tatabubbly, keep it up........

    ...you too, sunshine! :j

Don't worry, Lyndsey-michelle, "coppers from the OH's train fair change" will do nicely over the course of a year!! :D

That'll do fine, Eljhem, and it's what most of us do....so no doubt they'll be in short supply by the end of the year!!!! :rotfl:

Not a lot to report here as had a chilled day yesterday as it was my birthday. £20 stuck into my tin this morning, really going to try and ramp it up this year, money will only get spent if its sitting in my purse so may as well stick it in my pot.

Not much planned for today other than a quick tidy and watching the darts this afternoon (my favourite:T)

A very Happy Birthdayfor yesterday, !!!!!!! :bdaycake: Enjoy the darts and be sure to live by your highlighted wording above, very wise indeed!

Well done with the potting, 12 month challenge, re Elvis, blow the hoovering....go party!!!! :j
Have yourselves a super Sunday, SPCers!! Keep filling those pots!

The whole family (6 of us) came over to continue sorting the house. We need to have emptied the kitchen and dining room by the end of play tonight, cos the builders are back tomorrow :j:j.
The kids actually didn't do much sorting today (they did the other day-we had a line of kids passing stuff along from room to room).Today it was their job to make sure they had all their stuff ready for starting back at school tomorrow and Tuesday.DD 6 can't find her homework-in either of the houses icon_rolleyes.gif,and DD 13 left her blazer on her bed,so I will bring it back with me tonight.
I have just about finished emptying the kitchen. In the last drawer I found pottage: 2 x £1,2 x 50p,and 34p of small stuff. Will pot it when I get a chance.
Not sure when I will get on the internet after today (we are basically living at inlaws' except for emptying these 2 rooms, and internet may be cut off when builders tear down our kitchen and dining room.
My ideal would be to pop into the house everyday, after work, while kids are doing afterschool clubs local to us,and the internet be working, but we shall see.xx
Don't forget me if I am gone for a while..........

PS: just had multiple texts from kids who are now back at grandparent's while we finish emptying the rooms:
-"Mum,can't find her homework anywhere-but it's not due till Thursday anyway "(Read: we can't be bothered looking anymore because it isn't a last minute rush yet :rotfl:)
-"Mum,will you see if I have left my PE kit on my bed?"
    -"And my glasses?"

    The joys...........:D
