Morning all
Well done to all those with their GCSE results. Our visitors are leaving in an hour, once they've gone I'll strip their bed & get the room ready for next guest, who will probably be our new lodger, though we still have no idea when she's arriving as she is having problems with her visa. I assume it will be before 3rd Sept as that's when school starts.
Apart from that I have to go to the post office with my Ebay & Amazon sales & this afternoon I have my grandson over for a couple of hours.
Hope everyone has a good day
Hugs
Hester

Good morning - off to York for a wedding today, and we have sunshine :j Need to do my nails, and DD will blowdry my hair. She's still having indecision about her hair - think she'll put it up into a French pleat, with some ringlets hanging down on the sides.
Well done to the N9eav's and Master Mix!
Hope Miss Mix is OK with her op :A
FBThree - hope you manage to pick a colour soon
Catznine - need to see pics of your pup :T
This is what DD made for her art homework. She's had to photograph them in lots of ways, then will manipulate the images on the computer, and make an artwork from them. Meanwhile, we've enjoyed the muffins! £20/dozen anyone
Have a great day, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Morning all
I haven't had a chance to read everyone's posts yet as the Step Penguins are here and I'm sorting them out, but I just wanted to say hello.
I'm feeling a bit better - I've finally got a date for my surgery (next Wednesday, which means I'll be over it in time for university if I get a place!)
GP reckoned I should hold off going back on medication until after the surgery as that might be why I'm feeling so rough - anxiety about that and uni.
Have a good day. I'll look forward to catching up with everyone later.

Good morning everyone,
:T Well done to everyone celebrating exam results - what an achievement. To anyone who didn't get what they wanted, I often think that these things happen for a reason - maybe a rethink over plans etc.
Penelope - what fantastic cakes - do you live near? Am washed and dressed already and could be there shortly!!! What a clever kid - can see some fabulous results in the future.
Well, we have a fairly quiet day - kids got gym club this am then DD1 has riding the pm. At some point we have to go and pick up the car - failed its MOT yesterday and then cost £200 to sort out eugh!!! Just as DH has picked up his last pay pack before starting his own business
We have been promised a fabulous day weather wise, but it looks as though they have lied!!!!
To everyone who needs it (((((((hugs)))))))
Have a wonderful day everyone,
Take care,
Tilly
xxxThanks to this fantastic site and it's amazing people, we have paid over £63, 000 off - just over half way!!!:T THANK YOU:T0 -
Morning Everyone!
Well, the sun's shining here, I've got my first load of washing on the line, and the second one in!
Going to tax my car today. It passed it's MOT yesterday (thank God) cost me £163 for two new tyres, MOT and a few other bits, but nothing major. That's it done for another year hopefully.:j
DS got his GCSE results. 3C's 2D's 2E's and 2F's. He was a bit dissapointed with a D for Art he expected a B/C, and he worked really hard for it too. Still, he's got to go to college next week to find out if he can still do the course he wants. He may have to do an extra year, but who cares? I'm very proud of him anyway.:T :j
Mum and Dad's flat is back to normal after the flood. Mum's very proud of her new kitchen! But the dust. eugh it gets everywhere! We've had to wash everything befre we could put it back in the cupboards. And my Mum, well, I went through her food cupboards...packets that were dated 2004:eek: She says, that's allright, leave it! I binned it:rotfl:
Anyway, have a good day all!
I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Good morning all,
Looks like it's going to be a sunny day today, though as I've just finished another night shift,I'm heading to bed in a minute, so will miss it.
Just re-entered my debt details into snowball, and I have dropped my debt free date by 7 months!! I wanted to be debt free by Jan of 2009, a fresh year, a fresh start (as it were). And this is exactly what snowball now tells me! Hopefully I can pull it back another few months!
My weight slowly seems to be dropping too, I weighted myself yesterday and I've dropped 3.2lbs, so just 6lbs off my Sept target.
Penelope, the buns look scrummy
Hope everyone has a lovely day today. I'm off to bed now (if poochie hasn't stolen the best spot)

Morning all.............(((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))) if you need one and congrats to those with great exam results, birthdays etc........
Quick one for this morning, we are just on our way to the allotment to have a clear out in the shed.................it has got very messy over the season and I need to sort out the makeshift table we have there before it decides to collapse.
Nice, bright sunny morning, forecast for this weekend .............
I have just been watching that poor family whose son was shot......the only people who do not seem to be aware that we do have a crime wave on our hands is the politicians..........people are afraid to go out, to challenge people who they see doing things, afraid they will be attacked, shot or stabbed, what a society we are living in......................My OH was sworne at the other day when he asked people to let us get off the bus before they got on, children are brought up without any manners, again OH was forced to stand all the way home on the bus, seats were taken by children...........and because you ask nicely you are called a crabby old git!!!!!!!!!!!!! Surely I am not the only person who feels like this????????????September grocery budget........trying for £80, not sure if I will make it though!!!!! I certainly did not last month, lost track of the final bill. Will do better this month honest.
Tesco £57.13
Petrol £10.000 -
Morning one morning all,
Didn’t get to post yesterday.
I’m still suffering with sciatica and a dead leg. Nowt new there.
ODDSNSODS~ hope your foot gets better soon.
SHARONLOVESTOSPEND~ hope you get a better nights sleep tonight hun.
FBTHREE~ hope you eventually get the car bootie done and dusted! At least no one can say you haven’t planned for it!
CATZINE~ what type of pup are you getting? We have a border collie who has just turned one, he was a little bleep with my cats at first, now they lie together on MY bed.
PENPEN~ MMMM im hungry now thanks a lot!!
OH left the kitchen door open when he went to work, so by the time I got up and came down the cat had been on the worktop, knocked off the tub of dog treats onto the floor (tubs now empty ~dogs looking fat.) then he must have got onto the other worktop, onto the freezer, then the microwave to get his own tub of biscuits (also on floor) with 2 boxes of cereal (also on floor!)
OH will be getting a telling off when he comes in.
And here’s me thinking animals would be easier than having kids~ oh how wrong was I?
Better make a move and take mutley for a run, work off them treats. The suns coming out here in Warrington, so I’m going to make the most of it!
have a good day everyone

Good morning everyone
mrs mix hope DD's op goes well.
congratulations to everyone who passed their exams.
((((hugs)))) to those who need/want one.
csarina Lately I have been thinking that its about time the good people of this country reclaimed the streets for themselves. We shouldn't have to live in fear of a minority of young people who think violence and crime are great pastimes.
Payday today so I have to pop into the office to collect my cheque and pay it in. Must do internet banking next and I know I will be in for a shock. August has been a very expensive month for me what with uniforms, shoes, bags, etc. I'm normally better organised than I was this month so frugal living starts today.
DS and DD go to their dad's this weekend so I will be printing off bank statements, spreadsheets, bills, etc to go through everything with a fine tooth comb and getting myself organised.
Bye for now. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."
