Offered to cook at the parents house this year. Was only supposed to be four of us, but my parents keep inviting more people:

My mum will make her delicious soup.

    Then
    Ham cooked in coke
    Roast beef
Turkey crown (my brother can't live without turkey but everyone else isn't keen)
    Pigs in blankets
    Roast potatoes
    Saut!ed carrots in honey
    Green beans wrapped in bacon

And hopefully my mum will make her delicious trifle if anyone has room left for pudding.

Ordered my meat in over the weekend and sorted out the menu.

My first Christmas as a homeowner and father so got my parents, siblings, in-laws, wife's siblings and their partners round for a total of 14 adults.

    Turkey Crown
    Joint of Topside Beef
    Home made gravy
    Home made yorkshire puddings
    Honey roast carrots and parsnips
    Garden peas
    Brussels with chestnuts and Sage
    Packet sage & Onion stuffing
    Shop bought pigs in blankets

Not planned desserts yet but will be going for something I can cook the week before as i'll have enough to do on the day.

I also did all my xmas shopping at the weekend and everything is wrapped and all cards written apart from a couple of bits that have been ordered online and are awaiting delivery

    That's what I call organised! :T

I don't go nuts over Christmas as to me it's simply a big roast with lots of trimmings but I quite enjoy the browsing the shops for the extra foodie bits and speciality foods that only pop up for Christmas .......and I think having it all sorted a month and a half ahead would take some of the Christmas feel away for me

My mouth is already starting to salivate thinking about all the holiday food i'm going to gorge myself with and then the numerous naps afterward.
