Pretty much, yes. But it slowly becoming a profession. I studied music at uni etc. and I'm gradually (hopefully) becoming more active. I do want it to become a job so I can make a living from it. And I think then it will be fair to list myself as a musician on insurance.

You need to list yourself as a musician when you start getting paid nit when you pack in the ta job.

So which bit of this is untrue?

I use public transport usually, but as I said, occasionally I might have to take equipment (drums), which is clearly not viable on public transport. And no, playing I do is not a hobby; it's a (paid) job.

Weren't you banned on Friday for your thread about the Merc?
  • But when previously asked if it was just a hobby, you said no, it's a paid job.

Which is when people bought up insurance and you said you used your other job description on your insurance, which in turn lead to the allegations of fraud.

At least try to keep your story straight. :rotfl:

How many have you played so far? None.

You are wrong, argumentative and sanctimonious. Please stop getting involved in this thread. You have shared your views, thanks, you've done your part.

What do you mean about the Merc thing? Honestly

And I will list myself as a musician if, and when, I pack in the TA job (unlikely, as I enjoy it).

So you're being paid as a musician and therefore committing insurance fraud. Or you're lying on here and have the correct insurance. Either way you've tied yourself up in a knot as you cannot lie straight in bed.

You clearly have no idea what you're talking cause I've never heard of the name aterro, so I'm gonna say good night.

Insurer websites normally ask you if you have any other jobs other than your main one. As and when you join a band and start getting paid to perform you need to add this as an additional job and take the hit of the insurance premium.

If you have an accident on the way to a paid gig and the insurers find out they can void your insurance leaving you with a hefty bill

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

The average speed cameras came into force on 26th October. There are signs which indicate this. Other speed cameras have been removed. I travel this route regularly and it is clear that an awful lot of drivers haven't realised as they zoom past me, carefully abiding by the new limits. You never know, there may be a grace period as people adjust.

Ignore the posters who never do anything wrong and get off on criticising others. Very sad people.
