sorry to hear you are having a hard time of it buffy. Hang in there with your foot, go and see your Aunt if you can and try to have some down time. xxI want to be a writer0

I think today was the best.
I was a bit stroppy this morning but that passed (I read something the other day - the things you are getting so angry about today - if it was your last day on earth would it matter? and I keep thinking no!)
so Bacon and sausage sandwich for breakfast, How to get away with Murder and Murder She wrote (bit of a change of pace there!) A napand then turkey and crackers for early tea.........and some Roses.......my favourite!
I have filled in some dates in my new diary and started a journal for 2016. I was going to start a new dairy but as mostly my goals are the same (Save and Declutter) I think I will stick with this one.
I have joined the Frugal Living Thread and the Sell a 1000 (aiming for 500) and am going to be a bit MSE old style. As ever at this time of year reflection and renewal on the mind! I have made many genuine friends here and I love them. They got me out of debt and out of a truly horrible place.
So in order to make the next change - full on savings! I need to do what I used to do when I paid off my debts. which meas post on thread other than my diary and making sure I make the effort.
Mum is so tired. She is asleep on the sofa. The last couple of days have worn her out.

Glad to hear you sounding a bit more positive. Also glad you haven't started another new diary as I still haven't deleted the subscription to your old one yet! 2016 is another clean slate. My DD bought me an Organised Mum Life Book for Christmas which is brilliant. Itching to start filling it in.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Lucky you. Equivalent presents from my dd have included diary of a slummy mummy and the bad mothers handbook! As for me Buffy, don't be worrying, at some point there will be an epic post but when I look at what other people are dealing with, a lot of it just feels so trivial so I feel guilty and so it spirals.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Progress not perfection.:T100%through my 1% mortgage challenge. 100% through my pb challenge.0

Definitely go and see your Aunt Buffy - even near the end my Dad would have the odd lucid moment, and often their longer term memory is much better than short term, so she may be able to have a conversation with you about your Dad when he was younger? Wishing you a happy and healthy new year xMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

I love filling in a diary. makes me feel hopeful. Agree with you on the clean slate idea XXXin_need_of_direction wrote: »Lucky you. Thing is INOD is it is your diary and you can say what you want. I mean often feel similarly cos compared to other people I am not really dealing with anything at all! but it is my space on the internet to say more or less what I like . If would be different if I went on to someone else's diary and whinged but ultimately we all have problems big and small and we are all part of the same "Holy Crap this money is an interesting thing isn't?" gang and we all help each other.
And I reserve the right to worry about you as you are my friend. So there.Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
