Thanks harz:)
Reality check yesterday , I think . I believe that my excessive consumption of lucozade , plus the recent addition of berroca may have raised the pulse somewhat . I didn't go to hsp today . I may go tomorrow ,as I'm quitting both as of now .
Went for a huge walk ( for a londoner), and hopefully got new motivation0 -

Your probably right about the fizzy drinks AC, however best be on the safe side and get your heart checked out sooner than later.
Were you able to discuss getting back to work and related long term issues with your GP?
If the reality is not in the near future, with no income I feel you should be exploring what benefits if any, are going to be available to you, possibly ESA or New Style JSA although if Universal Credit is already rolled out in your postcode area that will effect what you could claim .0 -
Thanks harz . No, nothing work related was discussed . I suppose I have plenty of time still, to discuss . Woke up again around same time as yesterday. Can't complain too much, as that works out over 4 hours.
The bad habit I have , is leaving the radio wake me at 4 am regardless .
I still haven't signed up to podcast , but may do that today and turn off the alarm .seems crazy waking up at that time if not working.
Don't feel so breathless after walk . Just thinking, I did a fair bit of walking yesterday .
Regarding the flat I saw yesterday : very good location . Top of Ashley road. Inside very good. Obviously needs redecoration . There is a small balcony in the main bedroom . The view is of the garages opposite.
Not exactly trees. Purpose built 2 bedroom .£175k. Owner relocating back to Scotland . May do a second viewing with friend. May offer £158k if I struggle for somewhere .0 -
My nephew was a big size, but lost all the weight when he started dog walking as a job. I won't get a dog, but walking ( and cutting out lucozade), seems the obvious way to go .
Looking for acupuncture in this area .0 -

This one?
Looks a bit dark and old inside (lights on for photos), dated kitchen, doors, radiators etc. and all those stairs to contend with as you get older.
How old is the GCH boiler and has it been serviced regularly?
Is the block flat roofed?
What's the lease and charges amounts?
If your prepared for some preparatory work and the ongoig costs are reasonable, I guess you could put a low offer on the table, say £155k, and leave it there to see what happens.
Moving a long way away like Scotland does help to concentrate the mind when weighing up such offers! Bird in hand and all that.0 -
AC. I'm confused.dot.com........can't you alter your radio alarm. :rotfl:
Re the fizzy drinks and berroca - they might well be Increasing your heart rate.. There might be contra indications to their use with your current medication.
I agree with harz......you should be entitled to some form of benefits so maybe worth looking at.?
Met with dad's solicitor. His estate is a bit complicated and it has taken me a week to just wade through his papers so I have decided to use the solicitors "enhanced package"....gosh that sounds rude:rotfl: to make things easier for myself.
Will have to pay through the nose in fees but worth it, I just can't face it a third time. Not very MSE I know but Sometimes it's worth outsourcing tasks and having a hired gun does remove A huge burden off my shoulders.
Had a telephone mortgage consultation yesterday with a FA just out of curiousity. I was offered a fix at 1.99 per cent. Tempting. It's a good deal. I'll mull it over.
Other than that no news this end.
There are absolutely loads of houses on the market here. The funeral arrangements are well in hand, the funeral is Jan 27tn so I am about ready to start house hunting now.0 -
Yes that's the one harz:) lots to,ponder if I struggle for something .
Just saw something on right move. 1 bedroom on Poole quay .
Don't think it will be there long .£149,950. £840 pa service charges.
1 bedroom. Run by same people where I ended up,when I first arrived here in Nov. 1 st floor, balcony . Looks very similar to the flat I was in .
Tempted to check it out.
LL., I confuse everyone.I used to wake up at 5am when I was working.
I listen to one specific presenter who stares at 4am. I will alter alarm .
I'll just podcast instead
Harz, forgot to mention : the ashley road is share of freehold £525 pa service charges I think .
LL, you are doing the right thing , regarding solicitors imho.
Takes a little bit of pressure off. Not good things to be thinking of, but by spring you may find your new place , and your year improves then .0 -
Forgot to respond to benefits above .
I don't want to think about that just yet , as I quit my job voluntarily as you know. ( who doesn't ?!?:) )
If my pulse is dodgy, and I'm put on warfarin tablets ( rat poison ), then I may make enquiries .
I guess it's all part of the transition0 -
Hey AC. I'm good thanks, really loving the new house, felt like home the minute we moved in (I had been worried I would miss my old house!). Don't even mind that holidays have been cancelled this year in favour of a new kitchen!
I struggle with sleep a bit too. 4 hours - you must be shattered! Decent sleep is just as important as exercise and diet....and generally more enjoyable! So you should definitely prioritise it. I have a bad habit of waking up and looking at my phone/iPad. The light then completely wakes me and I can't get back to sleep. Decided to buy an old fashioned alarm clock and put the phone on the opposite side of the room. Is working pretty well. Recording your show/downloading a podcast sounds like a great idea. Could even listen to it on one of your walks - start a new habit?[STRIKE]Total debt 1.11.10 £23,446[/STRIKE]Save £6k in 2015 #129 £6121.66/£6000Save £6k in 2016 #39 £6000/£60000 -
Thanks copperjar . Delighted that you love your new house
I have similar habits with iPad also.
Tonight will be the start of my new sleeping arrangements.
The only thing about me regarding sleep, is that I am not working or commuting so I could be worse.
New habits have started . Camomile tea ..no milk or sugar .
The rest I've just mentioned .:)0
