  • Just a small thought AC, are there any local authority gyms locally? Here they tend to be in sports centres or swimming pools (not actually IN the pool obvs). You can find they are a lot cheaper than private gyms, if a bit less posh and as far as I recall you pay per visit not a huge upfront payment.

Hoping for success for your hunt, mine is not progressing too well due to uber-picky family.

    Thanks ancient .:)
I have no idea. Looking for something that suits. I don't ask for the earth, just a few cardio machines .
For example, anytime fitness ( not really expensive), had a good selection and a place to,stretch etc.when I was in the Twickenham.
When I first came out of hospital , I was there and my stamina / level of fitness was,ok,.

Having said that , I'm walking lots of hols at the moment.

    Good luck,in your search also
  • If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.

  • Thanks for that :)
There is one about a 5 min walk, from Poole station .
I may check it out tomorrow .

I should also check out their charges as I think there is a compulsory registration and an induction session which will be charged for on first usage, after that I think it is pay per session.

    Good luck ancient also .
Strange morning . 4 hours sleep last night. No complaints .
Trouble is , I woke up at 340am

Had viewing . I thought it was somewhere else . Great estate agent .
Flat not to bad £55pcm service charge . Not bad . I know..:)
Now I'm drying off in coffee shop:)

Hope you're dry now AC. Cultivate the estate agents when you get a good one. It's well worth it.

I find if I go back to sleep after waking early I get up feeling groggy. Same if I fall asleep in the day - which I hardly ever do. I have rubbish sleep patterns - often don't go to bed until around 1.00 a.m. and usually awake just after 7 a.m. I have tried to go to bed earlier but then just wake up too early (say 3.00 a.m.) then go back to sleep after a couple of hours then feel dozy all day, so I just go with it now. I've always been like it. Funny thing is both daughters can sleep for England and can't be spoken to for 2 hours when they wake up (well, not if you want a sensible, civil answer).

    Thanks harz / dreaming
I think the worst thing to do regarding sleep,, is to go to bed early .
    Rarely does that work .

So, went to doctors . Doctor is cool . She knew about my condition , from college days but of course rarely sees this condition in person.
My pulse seemed irregular , so I have an ecg to take in the hospital .
One of the tablets I take , requires regular blood tests, so I'll be having one
    Also
Not too concerned tbh. Pulse was fine when I was having, acupuncture .
Probably part of the stress. Chest seems fine.

Looking online though, breathlessness and tiredness can be part of my irregular pulse , so maybe I should be concerned .

So, two things tomorrow . Appt for Poole hsp, and that gym to checkout .

I'm pretty much the same. Bedtime is midnight to 0100, wake up again 0615 to 0700. Never usually turn over and try to sleep longer as will feel like s**t when I wake the second time.

The joys of getting (being) old.
  • More news. Call from estate agent. Key Drummond . Nice and upfront.
I rejected one from Saturday . He is very impartial . He said I may not get what I want in the area I'm in. He will send me email of different areas, not too far. He mentioned Upton . He knows people there. There are no key Drummond in Upton or any other area he will mention .
It may make me take a second look at that flat I saw today in Ashley road.

Regarding my pulse. I've been taking berocca for a few days. Oh, and loads of lucozade . I think they are the culprits of the dancing pulse.
Camomile tea tomorrow , it is :)
One other estate agent called me about the pokey 1 bedroom around the corner. I was looking , just incase I was surprised. He seemed over zealous, and was too black and white for my liking. That was Austin Wyatt .
I was in the coffee shop, and couldn't concentrate too much on his moodiness. I only viewed the 1 bedroom , as it may have pleasantly surprised me .

AC, Upton is pretty nice depending on which part, my daughter had a lovely house in Sandy Lane before she emigrated to Oz.

Btw, that newish two bed cluster house in Hamworthy is on the edge of Upton, around £190k if I recall. Ignore this, it's the opposite side of Hamworthy to where I was thinking of.

I remember when I was looking for my bungalow one EA kept telling me that "there's not much on the market right now" as he showed me yet again another one which wasn't in the slightest bit what I had asked for, even though a few minutes on RightMove proved him wrong.

Probably is the lucozade and berocca making your heart race a bit. I still haven't had any cola/fizzy drinks since NY and feel better for it but haven't lost any weight. Must start walking a bit more and look at the cheese consumption.:( Not sure what to drink in the pub tonight after book group - may be forced to have half a cider.:) I had better get on with reading the book as I am only half way through.

    Have a good day all.
