Really sorry if this just muddies the waters, AC, but a thought has struck me.
Does your new GP surgery not offer blood tests and ecgs in the practice? If she is on top of mg and steroids she will probably want more monitoring than you seem to have had, and having to go to hospital for every blood test could be a real pain.
Do you know what your Vit D level is? Steroids like to nibble on bones (rather than biscuits). I take Vit D and calcium.0 -
AC. I know you've not been well so getting out and about hasn't been top of your agenda but now that you are starting to pick up maybe you could start thinking about getting out more. Spring is just round the corner.
Have you thought about seeing what meet up groups there are. I bet there's several walking groups. How about music pubs. Then there's the U3A. There's bound to be loads of groups, activities and "stuff".
Cinema, book clubs, theatres, concerts. You have a bit of money now and you don't need a partner if you pick the right activities and venues.
Theres absolutely no need to stay indoors and rot away. Theres more to life than coffee shops and there's a great big world out there just waiting for you.
Having said that today i have had the pleasure of cleaning the oven.:rotfl:

Wendy , I think my bone levels are fine for the moment . I had a scan about 2 years ago. The specialist is monitoring me, so I won't worry too much. I've been tested for diabetes ( finger pricks whenever I went to hsp / blood sugars levels ) .
LL : eventually , I will explore . As you say, I haven't been well enough just yet & spring is not too far away .
Have fun with the oven0 -
Sorry to have nagged again, AC.
There must be something in the air. Let's call it Spring. Having chickened out of The Drawer, I did a corner of the freezer. I hate throwing away food, but binned two plastic tubs of definitely something that pre-date my 2014 hospital stay. Just don't tell anyone.0 -

Don't be sorry .it's all constructive
I forgot to,answer your question: blood test is either available in boots( Poole shopping centre) and Poole hospital.
Poole hospital is where I go for anything else .
The doctor never gave me a rubber bag on it to bring , so I'm a bit confused. I'll ask hospital tomorrow . I aim to go early in the morning.

I fear that time will be against you. They will be working probably six months minimum ahead. Longer, would be my guess.0 -
Not that anyone cares but I just delayed starting dinner for an hour listening to the Eagles' greatest hits... LL, this is your fault, OK?
How are you doing, lady?0 -
