What an amazing week you have had, AC. It sounds as if you have accomplished a great deal. I am particularly impressed with all your walking and reconnaissance missions.

You sound a heck of a lot more upbeat, must be all that exercise (I'm told it's good for one) and fresh air, innit? Hope you have the means to listen to music, now.

Had a good weekend . Friend visited with post . Found it tricky to find .
Thinks it's a good move getting it . It's 12 min to shops and m1/2 bus routes. Yellow bus routes nearer. Have to work out if I should use yellow bus ,as I have £15 weekly pass with more bus m1/2
We had a couple of beers afterwards. on way Back popped into footballers wife cafe for a coffee. They were almost closed but let me in and were very pleasant. Good move
I have enough food to last me a couple of days .
Just posted Xmas cards to co. I left ( the good depts) . Included ,was one to my (now ex ) colleague . Wishing him and his wife a merry Xmas , I did
mention that it's nothing personal why I moved so quickly . Job done .

Received Xmas card and inventory from landlady . She sent text also .
I will go through today . Received letter from estate agent .
will look at that probably about the same .
Keeping the windows slightly open.
There seems to be an issue with one of the taps in the bathroom sink.
if I turn the left tap(hot) off completely , there seems to be a small puddle at the front of the sink. If I let the water run a little , then there is no problem . Thought it may be condensation but I think it's the tap .
Will mention it to the estate agent tomorrow .
The neighbours upstairs have wooden flooring so you hear every noise .
The people seem to slam doors ,rather than closing gently.
It's not a moan ,and Ive just got to acclimatise to new conditions which are good . So far

Forgot to mention ..haven't seen any cats yet.
Big yellow storage is about a mile an a half from Poole town centre .
Will pick up a couple of essentials and will have to get a cab from Poole to there and back to the flat .

It is good to hear from you, AC, I think some of us were getting a bit worried, tbh. Glad things are going well, except for the tap. Is it not advisable to mention it directly to the landlady? Can't really call her the LL on here, can we?

Glad to hear you have had a good couple of days, and actually think it is a good thing that you haven't been on here so much (although I hope you don't forget about us completely).
Feeling the cold today despite the heating being on so need to get moving a bit instead of watching the snooker final. Cat is snoring behind me on the bed - definitely coming back as a cat (as long as I have an owner like me!).

I've worn everyone out ,so a couple of days away has done us all good
As the contract tells me to go direct with any issues ,I did just that .
I sent pics on my phone .Also sent a pic of a cupboard door that has blu tax on it from one of the previous tenants .

A good question : when do I finish this thread and go onto part 2?
There's still a way to go yet . ( paying off debts , hopefully buying a place. etc.)

Exactly so, dreaming, I put my name down years ago to come back as a cat whose human(s) realise from day 1 that I am in charge, my whim is their command, my will never to be questioned, etc, etc. Have you come across Henri, the Existentialist Cat on YouTube yet? He is a scream. You can find him via the Lolcats thread on here.

AC, unless she is going to come and check every day (can she see your windows from where she lives?) I say do as you like. Why should you freeze to suit her? I hope I never, ever have to rent ever again. Who's living there, you or her? Just because she's a fresh air fiend, doesn't mean you have to be one, imo.

I tried opening a couple of windows both today and yesterday. All I got was cold, damp traffic fumes and hint of drain. How is that of any use to us? I hope you can be comfortable in this flat and find somewhere of your own soonest. Have the noisy neighbours upstairs put you off of flats at all?

Regarding noise , it's early days . So used to living in upstairs maissonnettes ,where you normally have 2 neighbours . Sometimes only one .

Happy Monday everyone
Woke up early . Don't really want to do anything now ,but will have to.
Most of my clothes , dirty or otherwise that I have with me are still in the bags waiting to be moved into wardrobe or washed .
Still in b&b mode ,but need to motivate myself .

One of the neighbours has a young child . Hear faint noises now and again of a child's voice . This morning ,I heard them going out. No doors were slammed . I can hear movement drectly upstairs . It's early morning , someone's having a shower and probably getting ready for work.
I'm obviously , not ready for work .

The relaxation is doing me good . The left eye seems different since last night . Moving it seems a bit easier . Double vision not as prominent as before . Or so it seems .
Walking on my new shoes , has made my lower back and ribs ache .
That's because they're knew , and have the thick sole in preperation for the ice . A few months ago , I had 2 bad falls on slippery surfaces .
One in the underground . The other in the chemist . All the staff rushed to me , but I assured them I never hit my head and was fine . It was funny how I fell
I'd better get up ,unpack ,have breakfast and tidy up.
Not sure about the gym today . We'll see ..:)
