difficult to say anything good about the place etc.
However , when put on the spot ,why lie.
In a conversation today , I basically called the company unfriendly .
When the financial director ignores me,etc after having a dig at me while giving a plastic apology , I cannot be bothered with anything here any more.
A few people are surprised and delighted for me . Some people show their ignorance, more or less not believing I live in twickenham and frown with the idea of me buying a place outright and having a 6 month sabbatical.
Don't worry, it's not me getting worked up or thinking about it , it why should I have to take rap any more ?
Still calm and believe it or not ,focused
If anyone asks, just tell them you're making the change for a better 'work / life balance'.
The next bit is optional:
Then smile sweetlyand tell them you'll be thinking of them in the dealing with deadlines, clients, etc. Take care. Another smile - and move off.
Anything else is none of their business.0 -

Definitely this. In the last year before we were made redundant, and facing having to train the people who were replacing us (department was relocating), my colleague and I came up with the strategy of "smile and nod". Whatever they asked us to do we did. Sending me 200 miles away to a management training course (knowing that I planned to retire)? Smile and nod! Even when they put me on a stupid committee to try to improve morale (they didn't quite get that morale had dropped because they were relocating and people were worried about their jobs !!!!!!!), just smile and nod. Some colleagues who didn't/couldn't adopt this strategy seemed to get "eased out" without redundancy pay - either through getting so fed up they resigned, or through bad behaviour and getting fired. Me? I smiled and nodded, nodded and smiled, then took their money and walked away - still smiling.0 -

I was in a similar situation to you and moved to Germany this year. Now the post Brexit depreciation is hitting me hard.0 -
I hope you're feeling the satisfaction/pressure release of letting the, know what's gone wrong for you there.
Those who don't believe you're moving from Twickenham are likely just jealous of your forward thinking and great previous decisions while they're possibly surrounded by debt.

So, made a major blunder on the bus, on the way home tonight :
Made a fool of myself , but I'm honest ..
I'm sitting on the bus. I feel someone kicking the seat next to me .
The vibration was doing my head in ..thump thump thump.
So, I lean over and glare at the kid kicking the seat . He just carried on kicking it , staring st me . So, being an unruly arrogant so and so, I snapped ' can you stop kicking that ducking seat?!?'
So, mother tells me he's autistic and I shouldn't swear st children.
I immediately apologised, but she was more or less tearful.
I had my headphones on . Only put the headphones on the train because of a bawling baby in the Priam right next to me .
I haven't got children .my only defence ( if any), is because you see so many unchecked kids / thuggish kids etc. And it was thrush hour and I'm drained.
Oh well..:(
I don't normally swear . I'm normally quiet. Don't know why I snapped0 -

Wouldn't appeal to me now. Thanks merkel.
