I guess AC shares my problem of pre and post steroid sized clothes. My bossy daughter is desperate to blitz my wardrobe. But then I am currently working on phrasing an email to both daughters about Christmas presents.

I could set up a rather eccentric shop selling mainly toiletries and Lego (that will be going to twin grandsons over the next couple of years).
  • Thanks folks :) ziffit..have to look that up.
Wendy , I'm lucky that the suits I wear for work fit me .
Struggling , with the casual stuff I wear at home .
Last year , when I came out of hospital , I used to go to the gym for what seems a short while .( because of my shift pattern, I couldn't really use it much). I stopped in June last year , and just got bigger.Eating rubbish doesn't help. I'm aiming to join the gym in Nov , if all goes well.

Regarding moving / completion : I have a feeling , that contracts will be exchanged this week and a completion date will have to be agreed.
I think the buyers may want a 4th Nov completion.
What I may do , ( providing contracts exchanged ) is do the move on weds.
Go back on the Thursday . On Friday hand in the keys to chase Buchanan at the time specified. Then go on the train to Poole ..

AC - if I didn't like you I could go right off you!

    Your suits still fit?

Instead of finding loud fireworks a pain this year I shall assume they are a celebration of your escape.

The suits? We get a suit allowance once a year. I've gone up 4-6?inces on waist, and 4- 5 inches on the chest. I had great difficulty finding anything last December . I had to go online at m&s.
There was nothing in the shops . All the sizes were too small.
This is why they still fit me.I was lucky to get them.
    Oh, the embarrassment ...:)
Amidst all the excitement, I never explained myself .:rotfl:
I am a walking gas balloon at the moment .

AC, you made burst out in laughter there! I had a sudden vision of Harry Potter's stepdad blowing up like a balloon and whizzing around the house etc.

I'm sure that's not you, but you gave me a real laugh to start the day thank you.
  • My pleasure . :)
I'm too honest for my own good :)
  • Okay, just signed the contract .
My solicitor , thinks the buyers are dragging their heels .
He will contact them and suggest , exchange on Friday and complete 2 weeks after that .
He thinks it could be longer , so just as well I'm not rushing .
    We'll see .
  • So, scared but tired.
When I was telling my solicitor of my plans, he did say I need a few friends in Poole . I don't know that many . Hoping I'm still doing the right thing.

So tell your tired brain that you will be having a six month holiday/sabbatical in Poole, and need look no further ahead than that.
  • Think you're right Wendy:)
