Just spoke to my solicitor . I explained the neighbour issue .
He said it's just a tiff, not ongoing so it should be ok.
He agrees with me, that I shouldn't pay . He did say , I may have to compromise . He did say , that my flat hasn't needed maintenance in the past and it the buyers want it done, they can pay for it in their own time.
So , I wasn't paranoid about the scum next door . Just had a feeling.
I may have to pay more money to property mgt co for other forms the buyers solicitors need from the property mgt co replacing the one that was needed.0 -
Everyone's busy here today
I'm applying a take it or leave it approach now.
If the survey is ok , that is enough.
The knife in my back is making me angry now.
If my 'neighbour 'dropped dead before completion , then that is good.
I would look after her cats though, if they struggled to find a home0 -
Just go with the flow......0

Thanks LL
You're right .0 -
Morning all. AC, looks like all is still progressing okay, now like LL said just go with the flow on your sale...
I know I keep saying this, but please find at least one removal company that can also store your belongings, as I suspect you are not going to have time to do a straight swap from Twickenham to Poole, as I doubt there will be sufficient time to complete legalities and checks on a rental or purchase for you if your buyer still wants in by end of October.
I'm off for a bit of Med sunshine tomorrow so won't be posting much for a couple of weeks due to slow and expensive ships internet, just watching mostly.0 -
Thanks harz . Have a great time .
I'll look into removals ( thanks for that ). Can't really do much else
except start packing . May get stuck in this weekend .
3 nights broken sleep , and I am always fatigued at the weekends.
We'll see.
Has a call from estate agent( Poole) , couldn't answer .
Got a follow up emai. I replied to that explaining being on a train with low battery . Will probably call her this evening or tomorrow .
Trying to stay focused . Unfortunately , that means being scared at times .
Natural I guess0 -
Do you suffer with anxiety AC? Is that because of your Myasthenia or does it predate that?0

Hello cat:)
Not that I'm aware of . I just put it down as part of a huge ( for me) upheaval . Doing something like this on my own, at my age , is daunting to say the least. Because of the time frame for quitting the job ( less than a month ) , and finding somewhere ( rent ) it's a lot for anybody .
Then there's the neighbour , who has been mentioned potentially ruining the sale .
I tend not to think of any symptoms except the obvious( mg)
I have a tiny bit of psoriasis on my shins .Thatll soon go .
Before the diagnosis of mg ( 2 years ago this month) I had no symptoms of anything and drug free.
Losing the weight , and a break from the usual could clear a lot
Thanks0 -
Amazing really .. last year between June and September , I was thinking and trying ways to remortgage and stay put .Affordability said no.
I tried for loans . Same answer . If I did remortgage , I'd probably be doing this move a few years later . Being older, it probably would've been harder . Another quiet , and calm Friday . Friday's have been mainly quiet for about 3 years at least .
I feel relaxed again , but tired . On a train home . Some food when I get in, and a power nap will make me normal again
I may look at somewhere to spend Christmas on my own .
( no , not the flat I'll be renting) just might do something this year

As we head towards page 100, of this thread I have more news.
Email from solicitor : Buyers solicitor playing hardball, expecting eaves and fascia to be done now . My siolicitor advised me to get onto chase Buchanan . In the meantime , he replied telling them that they have a £10k reduction on asking price, and it's sold as seen.
So, I phone chase Buchanan telling them , I'm not paying for it.
I explained the neighbour complained, because I asked her to trim her garden. I explained I haven't the time, due to work commitments and illness. Also, that if they want October completion as do I, it won't happen because it's too time consuming .
Chase Buchanan understand. It'll only be about a couple of hundred quid anyway. It may be that I pay£100-150 as a compromise.
Will probably find out on Monday .
All part of the stress of moving, so I'm still relatively calm0
