It was clearly too hot for the little bu**er today as he was sent home in disgrace at 12 noon

    I need to sleep .

Lots of rumbling thunder in the distance and one flash of lightning in this part of Surrey but so far no rain. My garden needs the rain. A bit disappointed. I love a cracking thunder storm.

When I think of the state my flat was i when I sold it.....
AC, I suspect that you are going to be a much more realistic buyer? :-)

a small rumble of thunder in the distance.
Checked bbc weather app. According to that, it'll be about 4am when it all kicks off.
It'll be humid for the next couple of days, despite the lower temperatures.:(

I'm buying an igloo in the North Pole . That's as realistic, as I can be right now.

I freakin' hope so, Betty. I think the OP is either extremely inexperienced or an expert wind-up artist. You don't need to buy a house to realise furniture marks carpet, fgs. I find it hilarious on one level and, if true, utterly depressing on another: Is there really a generation now who actually expect everything and everyone to do exactly what they want, when they want it and to be psychic, to boot?

Hope it's not 4am - I'll be dead to the world as I'm a heavy sleeper so will probably sleep through the storm. I'll be gutted if I miss it. Still rumbling away but nothing much happening.

It's my mum's 83rd birthday tomorrow and I'm supposed to be taking her out tomorrow - she wants to do her favourite walk on the cliffs at Seven Sisters but I don't think that will be happening if the weather is pants. I hope she has an alternative for tomorrow.

AC, you sound down. The hot weather is supposed to be at an end. Things will get better and you will find somewhere. You will be in about the best position you can be and it is a buyers' market out there right now, according to what I read. Cheeky offers are the prerogative of cash buyers, I think.

Eyes on the prize, you can do this.
