AC. In addition to all the above, one thing you can do now, is investigate and prepare a list of likely removals firms.
As you MAY also need storage temporary or long term, find out which removers also offer that on their own premises.
Typically, they would turn up with a lorry that has an interior divided into wooden containers for your belongings, these are filled, secured and then off loaded at their storage facility, then delivered when you need them.
Very useful to have if say you end up with one/two/three weeks difference between completion on your existing flat and taking over a rental.

So I'm doing ok, and my friend is taking the p:)
Hopefully , not too long . Not exactly a summer exit , but a move is a move0 -
Ok . Just received letter from managing agents .
They are telling me maintenance is required on the facials and soffits.
They want me to contact them to tell them when the maintenance will take place .
Now what ?
I just emailed chase Buchanan , to tell them .
I asked , if they knew someone in the area that could do it , and give quote etc.
I also asked if , the buyers wanted to get the job done after they moved in , got their feet under the table, and then had it done and I pay the cost .
I think , total replacement , plus gutter is probably between £1,500-£2,000.0 -
I'm calm about everything still TBH .
I have question regarding deposit ( renting ) . What's the rough cost?
Is it refundable ?
I assume there are other fees as well. Thanks0 -
AC. Good to hear the bill for soffits and fascias doesn't sound too bad.
Re deposits, will vary but roughly a months rent in advance, plus a month or six weeks as a deposit. Plus fees. (These can mount up)
The landlord is required by law to put your deposit into a seperate holding account. This is fully refundable, minus any repairs, damage, specialist cleaning, etc.
A little tip.......take photos of everything when you move in, best to have photographic evidence in case of disputes.0 -

Thank you, joeyjimbles, and you are more than welcome. TBH, I think this is relatively tame compared to the Great Dane and Motor Home on the Drive threads, which I have only just started, so please, all o' y'all, don't spoil 'em for me. In case you have not yet heard of them, here you go, and I think this in the right order you should read them for the best experience:
