Good morning everyone
More news ! Chase Buchanan called me . I gave them my solicitors details .
I then called my solicitors , and told him of reduced price
Also told him not to act , until the survey has been done .( thanks harz).
I emailed my friend purbeck heights .
Feeling groggy after humid night.
Still, I'm not going back to work until Friday .:)0 -
Good morning. That was a vile night, wasn't it?
Just remembered something, which you may well know anyway, and which may no longer be relevant. 4i or 5 years ago we spent a week in a friend's flat in Boscombe. It took us a while to work out that the people walking up and down outside were trying to get a phone signal.
Several of the flats I've looked at are electrically heated. Is that a Poole thing, or a flat thing? The very swish flat we stayed in was electrically heated too.0 -
Good for you......time you had a bit if time out.
How's the healthy eating going.:rotfl:
I'm back on Paleo......and next week going to start the 5:2 plan. My blood sugRs are creeping up. I'm still pre diabetic fortunately but am determined to get those levels down.
Smodlet.. Still struggling with backache and whiplash. Managing dad on the train didn't help. Anyway Physio tonight and then two months of twice a week so hopefully it will straighten me out....literally - one hopes.
I feel like Quasimodo at the moment, but thanks for asking.:rotfl:0 -
Wendym.....a lot of flats are now electrically heated. Remember the gas explosion at Centre Point?
Gas is now only used up to a couple of storeys - not sure of the limit. Must check.0 -
Thanks Wendy
Something to think about
LL, you'll be fine . You eat sensibly . Unlike me . I will always prefer chips to garlic
I'm sure the physio will do the trick .
Can't believe I wished the solicitor a nice weekend when we spoke .
I must've thought today was Thursday or something
I'm over thinking I guess.
Forgot to mention that when I spoke to solicitor , he now knows that I'm gonna try to link a purchase with the sale .
The prayers are now being repeated many times;)0 -

LL, when I had back problems a few years back I found physio of little use. A Chiropractor did the trick, unfortunately not on the NHS thougb. Something to bear in mind.0 -
Wow, LL, I did not know that about flats and no gas, though it makes perfect sense, plus you would have only one standing charge to pay... I don't suppose you can get solar panels on the roof of a block of flats, can you? They are an absolute boon, we find, when it's sunny, of course.
I am glad you are getting there, LL, however slowly... the bells, the bells, they made me {ducks} :rotfl:
It's worse here than yesterday, there was a lovely breeze then which has now gone. Glad I ain't in the smoke.
How is your foot, AC? Are you keeping it elevated and putting ice on it? That should help you keep cool, too.
Cheers, all!0 -

Thanks for that.
My ohysio treatment consists of 1 chiro and I deep tissue massage each week. Apparently my shoulders and hips are 21 per cent out of alignment - no wonder I've got back ache.... also head tilting to the left.
Told you I was like Quasimodo.....:rotfl
And yes I'm paying privately. Actually although the misalignment is a chronic problem she is "lumping it together" with the whiplash and therefore the insurance company will pay towards my treatment because I had taken out additional cover under my motor insurance.
(I did look at cars yesterday........but have decided to wait for now).0 -
AC.......
HOld the Front Page.........:rotfl:
Here hot off the press!!!!!
Remember I told you about the deals to be had with new builds towArds the end of the year.......
Well if you look on RM you will see that several developers have added some new build apartments today.......already showing reductions in price.
The marketing drive has begun.
Now obviously I don't know Poole the way you do but some of them are down by the harbour and quays, some with great views. They look like a good location. Some are in an area that is designated a regeneration programme, they can be great long term investments because they become highly desirable once all the building is complete
Go to the Buy option of RM, then put in New builds and then lowest price Oder. They are quite a few around the upper end of your price range but remember they will be wanting legal completions for their year end figures and there will be bargains to be had.
Remember, you have no chain, and don't need a mortgage. You should be able to negotiate yourself a good deal.0 -
Thanks folks. The foot : not too bad , smodlet . Bruisey feel when I move it .I n that case , I shouldn't move it
it is improving . I'm doing as you said ., and that is why it is feeling better
LL, I did show my friend a new build and he told my to avoid incase there are building problems etc.
One property we may differ on( chapel point ) it's also on right move .
He thinks bedroom 2 is way too small. However, if I get my act together , it shouldn't matter too much , as I can slim down what I really need .
I wouldn't want to be right in the middle of Poole as it could be rough.0
