Mine is a modern Art Deco style house, curved, with secluded yet not remote plot and direct access to own private cove. The interior looks a bit likelike this: http://designerscollaborativenyc.com/we-love-palm-beach/#more-227. Definitely the internal staircase.

Off to find exterior and kitchen :rotfl:

    Ooooh yeah.....:D

Completely off topic (apologies AC), this is top of my current wish list

OH spotted it the day we moved here, specifically the new build, and it wasn't on the market then. I am really surprised that they don't have a photo of the view - you can see it best in the shots of the kitchen island/dining area, and the bedroom with the stripey duvet.
But it is a bit out of our price range, sadly.

    That is lovely.

Second one is also on with Frost & Co.

Whilst there's nothing wrong with looking, isn't North Road a bit over your budget, or right at the top end even if you managed to get a 10% reduction on the asking price?

I prefer the first one........little niggle - why the heck didn't they box in the boiler.......one of my pet hates.....:rotfl:

I am assuming we are looking at premium rates purely for the address......

First one looks ok. Not sure I've found the second unless it's the pimp's house :rotfl:. Prefer the Purbeck Heights ones though - wouldn't that view lift your soul every morning :T.

Total agreement. That view makes them my first choice so far.

You can always revamp the inside - no matter how shabby or out of date, but a stunning view is priceless.

I think you are paying for the location rather than the house. ;)

There's a plot of land nearby for £4m......just the land!!!

Let's face it, it's rather academic. I'm not in that bracket, nowhere near. Just my "fantasy home by the sea". :rotfl:

Location, yeah... it's in Lilliput! How tall are you, AC? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
  • Yes Harz :)
I know , but they seem the easy option :)

Good morning AC. To post links, just find what you want, highlight the URL in the bar at the top of the page, right click "copy", then click back in your post and "paste"... even I can do that! Thus:

Missed your post last night Harz, I hadn't gone high enough on my search. AC I'd be looking at modern properties if I was you. Easier to maintain and you're not going to have a lot of spare money for major repairs. Plus you don't know how long it will take to regain your health, I don't like to think of you getting stressed because you can't afford to pay someone to do something and are not well enough to tackle it yourself.

I'm glad you seem to have decided on Poole. The North East is lovely but South Shields is anything but (at least the areas I've seen). There's a reason property is so cheap there, even by North East standards.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

I second Gallygirls advice. Stick with Poole (ish), you already have a few connections there and know and like the area, the weather will be kinder too.

And I'm also in in agreement with a newish property. A fixer upper is not really you at this stage. Those two in Purbeck look pretty much ready to go.

Another warm day here but thankfully not quite as "steamy" as yesterday.

Felt slightly sad with your situation, but I guess we are all suffering in one way or the other, so keep going. Anyway, I would say it would be very tough for you to go on travelling at this stage of your life especially to places you least aware of. BTW, isn’t there anyone else in your family?

    Hello Ann

This thread is very long :)
Thanks for looking . Things have now gone as far as me putting my place up for sale, and now frantically looking for another in Poole area:)0
