This happened to me last week..... someone obviously needed the room in their garage and parked their VW with no tax and an out of date residents parking permit in our car park. I phoned the police who contacted the owner and suggested they remove it. They did. :T to the police in Aberdeen!

I hope you charged them for the parking ;) about £20 a day should cover your inconvenience.

I personally would have broken the car and sold it in bits.....

It just goes to show that you have to be so careful "what you say and who you say it to nowdays"

There are so many cheeky people around. I would not be suprised if "a friend of a friend" heard about your holiday plans and were also going on holiday at the same time as you (but with an earlier return date). They probably miscalculated their dates thinking that they could park free on your drive and be gone before you got back and you would be none the wiser!

At least it burglars did'nt hear about your trip!

Anyway, I'm pleased that its all sorted now ....... Enjoy your Bank Holiday! :j

Someone parked in the wrong house and went on Holiday to Egypt!!!

The car was registered very locally according to the police.... now if it was a genuine error most people would turn up with a bottle of cheap Egyptian plonk as ann apology - let's wait and see...

    Is that it?

After over 8,000 views to this thread and over 100 answers that's all you have to tell us.

I've been following this thread since the start wondering how it would turn out (if you look at post #116, I was even concerned for the OP's welfare)

I've just come in after a day out and came straight online to see any developements and it's all over.
With no explaination of what was said between the OP and the owners of the car, whether they were apologetic or couldn't care less, or anything else

    Nothing.

Col. Mustard - me and other posters/viewers deserve more.

    I feel let down

    (and a bit drunk)

#1. The people that run these "sell your house and rent back" companies are generally lying thieves and are best avoided

#2. This time next year house prices in general will be lower than they are now

#3. Cheap houses are a good thing not a bad thing

At least you can live in peace... until your next holiday :p
