They charge for rescuing kittens from trees - ask the RSPCA.0 -
The OP hasn't posted since 10.18 this morning.
I hope he's alright.dolce vita's stock reply templates
#1. The people that run these "sell your house and rent back" companies are generally lying thieves and are best avoided
#2. This time next year house prices in general will be lower than they are now
#3. Cheap houses are a good thing not a bad thing0 -

So next year perhaps we should also not be surprised when London Taxi drivers stop taking underprivileged kids on an annual outing to Southend ?
Taking one consideration with another, a policeman's lot is not a happy one - are we the least bit surprised?
Thankfully its not for the police to try and reinterpret the law, though I agree they do so on occasion when it suits them. That's veering OT anyway.
At the end of the day, the OP needs to help himself if no one else will. To me, this situation would be infuriating; as you may have noticed, I'm a very grumpy person. But at the end of the day, this situation is just an inconvenience and a cheek, not a crime or emergency.0 -
That all very well for you to say it's "just an inconvenience" guppy
But what if his wife decides over the weekend that she would like a nice caravan ................. where the dickins are they going to park it! :mad:0 -

Called the council, who told me, as it’s taxed and on private land they can’t do anything and I should contact the police. So I went along to my local police station who told me the exact same thing and I should go back to the council!!!
What can I do? (Legally)
Many Thanks
Use your car (or a friend's 4x4) to pull it out onto the road. Then leave it.
Problem solved!

Probably because they spend so much time going to bomb hoaxes where people lie just because they want vehicles moved?, or maybe because people now expect Police Officers to be Social Workers, Psychologists, Mind Readers, Teachers, Athletes, Security Guards, Relationship Counsellor oh and now, vehicle recovery specialists.
There is yet any evidence to suggest the person who left the Polo on the drive had any criminal intent and so I cant believe this is still continuing!. As with guppy, if it had been my drive, it would have disappeared by now.
Please also bare in mind that the council has also refused to helppeterbaker wrote: »So next year perhaps we should also not be surprised when London Taxi drivers stop taking underprivileged kids on an annual outing to Southend ?...and if you mean by underprivileged kids-the hoody wearing, weed smoking, 50 cent wannabees...im surprised the taxi drivers even stopped to pick them up!!....

1. There is NO suggestion that London Taxi drivers will ever stop taking underprivileged kids on an annual outing to Southend.
2. I only mentioned the concept of course as a foil to the idea that the Police have lately evolved into something toothless, frequently commercial, often unhelpful and sadly without noticeably consistent standards that uphold the common law - that's something I think most of us would not have expected in our lifetimes.
I too am impatient to learn how the Colonel and his lady got on today:D0
