The usual nonsense of a breach of Ts&Cs dressed up to appear as a contractural charge. This is a legal nonsense, and a judge is not going to be impressed. And if it were a contractural charge, they would have to account for VAT. So it's breach of contract all the way.

Edit. The first line is also nonsense: This car park is strictly for Park & Ride customers whilst using the Rail and/or Metro. That means that EVERYBODY is in breach as soon as they get off the train/tram at the other end of their journey!

So given this, and the fact that it's been 6 months.

Is this even going to stand up? How would everyone proceed from here?

Apologies for the questions - I just want to get all things covered... The RCwill have a tonne of questions no doubt and panic.

VCS do not do court - unless they want to! This has been selected so you may want to reconsider having all this on an open forum.

In the way that you have been advised several times both here and on Pepipoo. You're going to need to do a lot of legwork yourself. We can't do it all for you.

    Is there a closed forum?

I don't see what can do me any harm from what's been posted? I'm an innocent person who's been sent this through the post. I'm sure it's going to be happening to other people so hopefully they can benefit from this.

I've not been advised anything, I'm merely trying to learn where I would stand. By saying how would be the best way to progress, I'm asking if I choose to appeal it, what are the best options for arguments - in which case people have mentioned it being 6 months since being issued the PCN and the Byelaws by which wouldn't apply.

I'm not asking for anyone to do anything for me, I'm just trying to play out scenarios and see what would lead where. I don't understand how this all works, which I why I've signed up here to ask.

Thank you for all responses so far :)

Also, by appealing this, will it involve going to court at some point?

Sheffield is a way away from me, can they enforce this?
