Nationwide FlexDirect Switch

Hi,

I recently switched to a Nationwide FlexDirect account. I applied for the account through the MSE link to get the £100 reward. The switch has completed today and I haven't been told anything about the £100. I have seen some members got emails soon after applying from MSE but I didn't get one. I applied on the day before the offer ended.

Do you know what could be the problem?

I think it's applied to your account the 20th of the month after the switch so you should get it by 20th Nov.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

My switch happened on 7th October and I'm still waiting to hear.

I got my letter today saying my switch has been completed. No mention of the £100 - I am sure it will be on its way! I went through moneysupermarket.

You should have had an email confirming the switch was applied for via the MSE Link soon after applying.

The £100 switch bonus is sent by cheque - not to your account.

I think most have been about 30 days after the switch (or the switch application, can't remember which).

I got an email from MSM, seconds after applying, it was in my spam box so check there. Saying thanks for applying. (15th September)

I got another email to say that the application had been successful the following day. (16th September)

I got another email on the day the switch completed, (29th September)

I got a text message to tell me my cheque was in the post (16th October)

I got the £100 cheque on 17th October.

So looks like application to cheque was around 30 days :-)

That's for the RAF incentive jim. The MSM/MSE offer didn't specify a timescale as far as I remember, but mine was paid very quickly (1st Oct switch, cheque arrived 17 days later), along with a good few others on here who reported receiving their "the cheque's in the post" e-mails at the back end of last week..

Have just checked my MSM e-mail

The FlexDirect current account pays a brilliant rate of 5%AER (fixed for 12 months) on balances up to £2,500, provided you pay in at least £1,000 per month. Not only that, because you applied for your account through our website, you have qualified for £100 cashback! Once Nationwide have completed your switch, we'll send your cashback payment by cheque within 30 working days.

That email by itself is no guarantee that you will get your cheque. If you haven't as yet had confirmation about your cheque, I would contact the company administering the offer. Their contact info is in the offer terms.

Begs the question as to why it takes Quidco and the like 4-5 months (and more!) to pay out doesn't it!?

My account was opened on the 21 Sept and switch completed on the 2nd October but I've had nothing but the first email stating I'm eligible for the cashback.
Emailed the company in the email on Friday and have had no response whatsoever....
