{text removed by MSE Forum Team} Ex military. Ex police.
Ex police after an incident where he was convicted of dangerous driving that seriously injured 4 people. The ES article might have some more balance

I bet the law says we don't own them. Because the law is nice like that.
I feel sorry for house burglars and common thieves. They unfairly get picked on by the police.0 -
It makes you wonder how much the directors of LCF were paid.
Well you can look, it's a very round number. Yes the directors were not paid a penny according to the accounts. How can someone who is full time CEO of a company run their equestrian empire and fund their million pound property when they are being paid nothing.
It almost makes you wonder if they are getting their money from another way....Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
Has anyone in this country who has run a scam scheme, ever gone to prison? Like the capita oak mob? I watched the bernie madoff film last night, it seems they treat it more seriously in the states.
How can people possibly get away with this?
Blackmore seems to have disappeared from rp digitals best investment site
Have just looked at top rate isa on a search and a new one called landbay popped up...not high enough rate to stand out, but all capital at risk.0 -

They certainly have more broadly-based laws in the US - "wire fraud" and "securities fraud" are more general-purpose offences than we have in the UK.
I don't think a US firm would have much of a leg to stand on if it marketed bonds to investors without disclosing the intention of loaning most of the proceeds to firms the directors were connected to.0 -

Landbay has been on there a while. It's more legit than LC&F and Blackmore.0 -

It would seem unlikely but then again the link suggests that there is overlap and capability to charge both under criminal law and civil law / the companies act.Of course, whether any agency with the power and will to charge actually doing it remains to be seen..
