Asda too, the smartprice cornflakes have disappeared.0 -
You're absolutely right, op - a good Thread to start!
I have queried disappearance of nets of EV oranges - 76p, for 6-ish.
Persistently doing so courteously, means that I was offered equivalent no. in nets, priced £1.50 or more, for 76p.
Same happened with EV 500g pots of natural yogurt. If things are not flagged as being removed on systems, they can and should be re-stocked. Manager made a point of doing so for me, after weeks of failure and showing me when he spotted me in store. Excellent man.
Dbl-length 4pks of toilet rolls went some months ago.
It's a good time to look for long-life stock cupboard rtc's of branded/Finest things, too.
Playing MrT & w8r0s off against each other works well.
Yes the double length loo roll went yonks ago.
However the replacement EV single rolls are just 3-5p more per pack or thereabouts, when taking into account the maths.
Not a bad alternative.0 -
Hi
Have noticed that Tesco are discontinuing their Everyday Value 1 Litre Wine Cartons. Whilst these are unpretentious plonk for sure, it's a shame to see them disappear just months after Asda withdrew theirs. As far as I know Morrisons still sell theirs but are a bit pricier.
Does anyone know of any cheap alternatives carton or box wise? (not including glass bottles here).0 -
Start to do a bit of homebrew.
Making wine out of flavoured tea bags is dead easy and will save you a fortune.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

Most of the stuff that's disappearing will be back after Christmas, they just need to make room for overpriced and unnecessary junk, like tins of sweets, 'extra special' ranges and turkeys!0

the value lemonade hasn't disappeared from everywhere, saw in our local Tesco (Manston Road, Ramsgate) today0
