Thanks II did appreciate your advice I am 73'and have come late to all this technology My head was full of no's and letters.
My Son said that for the money this is an excellent phone He bought the 2nd Gen for his 2 daughters last year and says they are great .
I would not have looked at this phone without your suggestion and once more thank you.
I am confident I will enjoy it Sue0 -
Just wondering if anyone here has the Samsung Galaxy J5 and what it is like?
Currently have a smashed Nokia Lumia 625, had it for over a year, and wanting to go back to Samsung. (Was mostly loyal to the Samsung cause for around 7 years). I'm a student though, and don't want to go mad on phone prices; never been on contract, and I'm unwilling to go on contract. So £150 is the max I want to spend on a new phone.
Worth my while going for the J5 or should I look elsewhere? Would post link to the phone but new member. Sigh.0 -

I have a J5, well my son will have it in a few days. I think its a great high quality handset, its slim, really very fast (its snappier than my Note), has a replaceable battery, takes an SD memory card to expand memory cheap and runs latest Android. It allows you to move apps to the SD card freeing up onboard memory.
Good points, big battery but still slim, really superb Samsung screen just the right size, very sensitive and accurate touch screen, 4G of course, plenty of accessories and cases available. Unusually a front flash for taking selfies. Great 13 megapixel main camera.
Bad points, no LED on front to flash when there is a notification, front 'soft keys' are not lit (but are well marked). Front main button is a bit stiff needs quite a firm press. Speaker isn't that powerful.European for 3 weeks in August, the rest of the year only British and proud.0 -

Sounds pretty decent to me! Used to the soft keys not being lit - they aren't on my current phone, and I don't mind.0
