Having looked at the HDUK thread on this, it seems that a couple of sellers have just upped the prices of games consoles by £50 so they benefit from the discount and not the buyer, which is pretty disgusting.
The sellers in question are Zavvi and Shopto.net
I'm not looking to buy a console, but think this needs flagging up.

Most shops do it before any sale, especially massive ones. Sad for sellers to do it on ebay though, they still get the full amount. For their own sales they're gaining less profit which is why do it, for ebay they're just being greedy.0 -
Worked for me too - and perfect timing for once! The items we were watching just came down to £140 each this week (from well over £200), so with the £50 off we've just got them for half the price they were a few weeks ago :-D0
