NoWhat about Will Aid in your area?
I didn't realise the original post contained links to two different things entirely. I just clicked the first one.
Just checked Will Aid .... they want you to subscribe/sign up before they tell you what's available in your area. This, to me, means that there might not be anything in my area at all, once I've signed up and I'll be bombarded with email spam for months/years ever after.
I hate it when they do that.0 -
NoI have got one but i've been meaning to rip it up for years. The people who are in i don't want to get anything now. The thing that has put me off writing another is i'm not sure who i can have, or who i want as the Executor. I think it may have to be the bank or solicitor.
Make me the sole beneficiary. I promise to spend it all on pies and pop.0 -

I think maybe the dogs home is favourite at the moment. The thing is i don't want everything going to some charity were they have fund raisers taking a big cut.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

YesI think its about time there was a central registry of wills in this country. There is nothing to stop someone making a will, dying then the person who has kept the will reading it,not liking what they read then binning it in favour of the intestacy option.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

Will Aid does ask for some basic information ( name and email )but goes on to give you the option of declining further emails if you don't want reminders. See below. You are then given the list of solicitors in your area.
We’ll only use the information you’ve provided to keep you up to date about Will Aid activities. If for instance you don’t manage to make your will through the scheme this year, we will let you know about the scheme next year or other ways you can get your will written through Will Aid. We promise to never sell or share your data with anyone and you can unsubscribe from these emails at any point. If you are happy for us to contact you by email about the above, please tick the box below.
I would like to be updated by email about Will Aid0 -

This happened in our family some years ago. It was only possible because the signed will was kept at home.
If it had been stored with a solicitor or with the Probate Office, it wouldn't have happened.0 -

That's true and it's why Will Aid offers will makers free registration with Certainty, the National Will Register. https://www.nationalwillregister.co.uk/0
