NoI don't have a will. I have no money or assets to leave to anyone.0

YesEven although I am single and without children, I have a will - Don't want the !!!!!! in the closet getting anything under the rules of intestacy, so would rather leave it all to the local cat sanctuary.Don't make the solicitor or bank executor!
Also watch out for the outfits that charge an annual fee to store your will. A reputable solicitor will do it for free even if they haven't been appointed as executors.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

YesDon't make the solicitor or bank executor! Your beneficiaries are then stuck with them, and if they're rubbish, take ages, or charge loads, there's nothing they can do. Make the main beneficiaries the executor(s), they can always pay for legal advice if they need it, but they can shop around and can get rid of a rubbish/slow/expensive solicitor.

I was my father's executor, and am named as my mother's. There isn't anything very complicated about most people's wills. I estimate it took me about 30 hours over the course of four or five months to settle the estate. I didn't require any 'expert' advice.0 -
NoI don't have a will and keep debating whether to get one. I've no kids, no partner. I have no real estate, no possessions of value, very little in the way of investments and modest savings. The only good thing I don't have is debt.
If I made a will it'd be in anticipation of things changing, but right now, listing it all is pointless. The funeral would take everything and then it's to the bin with my stuff.
Depressing.LBM: June 2023. Amount owed: ~£10,000I've gone debt free before, I can do it again!0
