Had a pretty fraught weekend. DD is 8 weeks pregnant and has been having tummy pains for a few days. DR said it was constipation and gave her some peppermint tablets. However it was so bad Sat night she went to hospital and they said it was faecal impaction ( sorry ). As she had an ectopic pregnancy 2 years ago and a miscarriage she was still worried yesterday so went for an early private scan.
All is well and the raspberry ( thats what size it is!) is well. So good news.

Bless you for speaking so openly and candidly about your cancer FC. It's not an easy subject but is something so many of us are ignorant about. My signature comes from the manifesto of a cancer charity. It seems to sum you up pretty well :D

Unfortunately, Manchester Dogs Home are known for this, letting dogs go out without homevisits or follow up, sending dogs out without nuetering them first, etc. They say that they have too many dogs through the rescue to do everything, but these simple steps are essential in responsible dog rescue and would result in less dogs suffering in bad homes, or worse still, going for dog bait, breeding, etc :( Every sympathy for the dogs when that fire happened but also very much aware that MDH were sitting with about £3M in the bank before this happened :( NO charity should carry that sort of money in the bank

Anyway, Evangeline, don't worry about that homecheck as long as you have a secure garden suitable for the size of dog you are adopting, won't be leaving it alone in the house for long periods, are aware of and accept that there might be some problems while the dog is settling in, a way of stopping the dog getting out of front door when you open it (internal door or child gate), these are all the things we look for on a homecheck. But mostly we look for a home where a dog will be loved and happy and well cared for, so I am sure it will all go well

On my second day of doing this, my first try got me a £35 Restaurant Vouchers - terms say one issued each of the 28 days the competition is running - so very lucky to get one. don;t think the restaurants are very MSE ones but will make sure it is a treat. Thanks for posting mhoc :j

    Good Morning 3Dogs :A

Poppy needed neutering when we got her she had op in first week. Like you say if MDH had done this it , it would have been better for Poppy she wouldn't have have had to go through wondering what was happening to her after she had been loved for a couple days then I leave her in a strange place :(

people should talk more about cancer. I have it as one in three of us will do in the future. it needs to be talked about and addressed. it's not a nice subject but neither is people avoiding you because you have it.

I've posted on here because I dont want to answer PMs and it be hidden. I've got incurable blood cancer. I'm going to die from it unless AAU gets me in his double decker bus first

As I've said to a very good friend tonight. Problems are only big if they are affecting your life....whatever they may be. life is too short to please other people.

It wasn't meant as a threat :rotfl:
