Fingers crossed they find exactly what it is and are able to stop the pain. I take Imaprozole (spel?) as used to fet terrible pains, in the chest and throat. I now get very bad gut pains after I've eaten my tea/dinner. Always after a cooked meat n veg tea/dinner. Maybe I need those meds changed I don't know.

Yes thats what i have been given, i dont get nothing in the throat, no heartburn , this pain is inbetween boobs at breast bone

I would keep it simple and give them something money can't buy, like your time and effort. i.e. if they're foodies, make them homemade chutneys/jams. Or a voucher for an exclusive dining experience where you invite them over and cook them a slap up meal (with glitchy wine of course :D). Depends what they like reallQUOTE]

I wouldnt have a clue when it came to making chutneys and jams...she's a little like you PD...very good at baking, well cooking infact....it would stress me far too much to have to cook something for them!!!!!!!!

believe me when I say she must now be on first name terms with pru leith and any other cook the amount of cooking demonstrations and taster days she's been to

We are like chalk and cheese..and to some extents polar opposites...there is an age gap of quite a few years and whilst her life has taken her in one direction and mine the way I want it to...we do still have some common ground ....I guess its just about finding it!

Horses and gambling are a no no....

I've even considered something like sponsoring a child or an animal more than the standard £3-5 per month but I'm not sure how that would be received...my other thought is that I suggest perhaps we make a donation to charity in mums honour following her death but somehow I dont think that will sit well with my sis...

I have quite often suggested no presents but she really does refuse to listen

Actually I think you can. I seem to remember reading somewhere about sausage making courses where you could make your own, then name them.
