Although this is true...it doesnt clearly solve the problem of what to buy someone who has everything,or at least very little needs except something to open on christmas morning.
I need to buy my sister and bil a present...I have no idea what...for the past few years we have gone with gift experiences/theatre trips/meals out etc but the list has now run out of suitable things....they are affluent and as such really dont need or want anything and I really have tried going down the route of "no gifts for us"...but my sister seems adamant on an exchange at christmas...
We have also done cheese boards and cheese vouchers, countless photo frames,molten/jo malone gift sets....wine and even a history of their house
my budget is £100 throw some ideas at me peeps....
What about chips for a casino+a bottle of fizz (T mystery fizz)?:)
....if not a packet of frozen chips and a bottle of lemonade:rotfl::rotfl:0 -
london is out...we sent them off to the vinopolis place a few years ago and they did most of the south bank at the same sort of time...
Problem is that they also live in one of the most picturesque areas of the south west and recently celebrated a significant anniversay in cornwall think Rick stein!!!!
Given the fact that they have travelled about a bit this year already I dont think theres much more within my price range...
Thought I might take a look at something for the garden...although not a bench, sundial, planter pot or garden seats as they have all been done in the past.
OMG - you would have thought that with this budget there might be something left that they had not got

I made up a small Fortnum's hamper one year for some friends. Put in Fortnum's coffee, tea, marmalade, plus one of their tea towels, a pair of F&M mugs and a tea strainer and I called it Christmas Breakfast on the gift label.“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0

We went to the sky garden a couple of months ago- not for a meal but just to go up for the views-
views are superb especially on a clear day (as we had) and to go up- a timed entrance was free:money:, but drinks were horrendously expensive:eek: (don't forget to take id)
yes we went for a day out to London our eldest organised, firstly the sky garden just for photos and the view and then the DLR along Canary wharf to Greenwich and the maritime museum and Goddards the pie and mash shop“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. I'm not trying to over complicate things honest and I feel bad about coming back and giving reasons why not...but they gave us a harrods version of this sort of thing last year!

quite possibly.
MY OH has a number of blind spots - he literally cant see mess and disorder.
For instance I move the coffee table to vacuum and where he sits the carpet is littered with biscuit and other food crumbs.
I object saying what is the point of doing the floors only for someone to traipse through dropping food.
He cant see the problem
Next morning its ground hog day and this time as well as crumbs there is a brown stain which turns out to be butternut squash soup and takes some scrubbing to remove.
I object saying what is the point of doing the floors only for someone to traipse through with food.
He cant see the problem
Deffo twins,:rotfl:
He does do the washing up though, but he balances items on top of other things when putting them back in the cupboards. He also does not seem to understand the concept of size order stacking, and returning things from whence they came. :rotfl: But I still love him.

if you go to Amazon local there is a notice at the top of the page
"On 18 December, 2015, Amazon Local will stop selling daily deals at local.amazon.co.uk and on the Amazon Local app.
Deals purchased prior to 18 December, 2015 will not be affected by this change and remain valid as specified on the vouchers. Learn more at local.amazon.co.uk/help.
The selection of music, theatre and comedy tickets will continue to be bookable at Amazon Tickets local.amazon.co.uk/tickets after 18 December, 2015, and will not be affected by this change".
so are they just doing away with local deals and just concentrating on event tickets?“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove.
