But think about it - in a lot of cases, you want the butter to butter the toast you have just made, so will clearly want a tea or coffee to go with it.

Ergo the kettle would be freshly boiled already, and still steaming:p

so to cheer myself up I've tweeted a picture of their cheese blocks to Aldi who have put them up from £1.55 to £1.59 - how very date they and they expect me not to notice.

and also I got sainsburys bleach on Sunday called festive spice with a purple label and festive decoration, my bathroom does not smell of Christmas so I tweeted them a photo and told them this :rotfl:

They have asked for a photo of the barcode, the barcode is not festive either

Mhoc, I know what you mean about annoying DH's. I spent the night on the sofa.
I stripped our bed yesterday, left it to air and was going to remake the bed at bedtime. He went up first while I finished watching a recording. When I went up he had gone to bed. Did he remake the bed with the clean linen I hear you ask. No he didn't. The lazy so and so was laying on the mattress topper, with cover less pillows and duvet, snoring.
The temptation to wake him, get him up and get him to help make the bed was almost overwhelming, but I resisted, and I didn't mention it this morning. Very restrained I thought:D

    Lol, obviously wasn't you then:o
Several of the Purina boxes of sachets have a £3 off voucher on Amazon voucher page if you do a subscribe and save. If you order 5 items you get an extra 15% off the price. You need to click the voucher tab below the price on the top right of the page for each item you select. I got the chefs selection mini fillets in gravy for £8.90 for 48 pouches as an example. When they are on offer the cheapest I've seen has been £3.50 in the supermarkets. Free delivery too.

Thanks Mhoc....I must admit I am all but given up on the sister/bil present...they have all the national trust.rhs memberships and TBH...I really did think I had hit a winner a couple of weeks ago as the Mail had an advert for lunch at Highgrove....a bit out of their way I thought but a good gift....only for her to drop it into conversation that acually they have been going for the past 5 years!

This year our family stockings are limited to £15 with no more than 6 pressies so I really am almost on top of that ....but the problem sister remains as she totally refuses to listen when I say "we dont need anything"....(so that kind of means I'd not like to have to find something for you)

    this sounds like a nightmare

so they are south rather than north - are you on the Time out email list, my eldest works in London and lives just outside and she uses Time out to find fun things to do.

what about a Thames cruise with a nice evening meal - think I've seen these on Amazon local

what about the sky garden - you can book meals up there as well

Off to do some baking now. Spent a very lazy day so far, sprawled on the sofa, surfing the Web.
Thanks to mhoc ( I think ) for the Amazon cat food post. Managed to get some, and ordered 5 items to get the 15% off on top of the £3 vouchers. I also found the Purina kitten biscuits. 4x800gram for £8.60 after the discounts, really pleased as they are £4 each in the supermarkets.
