Wednesday hun, are you working or will you be able to play? ;)

Not sure yet, hoping to do both ;) Trying to sort out work schedules and my agency think 2 days work a week between now and January is enough, so booking as much work with the other two as possible :D

Also Emma says hello. The crazy bint booked us a trip to Warsaw that weekend :)

    Hi Everyone :)

Just picked up loads of freebies - mince pies, pasties, sausage rolls. A friend of ours takes photos for supermarkets and gets far too many items than are used in the photoshoots. Next lot comes along and they have to clear the freezer :j:j

Popped into Morries and got loads of Rockies and Square Bars for the lunch boxes. Shelves were full to capacity :T

Our Morries has just installed an Amazon Locker. Works well, delivery was several days earlier than having it delivered to home at no extra charge ie free

Just had my Tesco Mystery Champagne & Sparkling Wine box delivered:-

3 x Chanoine Freres Vintage Champagne (£30 each)
    2 x Bella Cucina Prosecco (£5.50 each)
1 x Linotti Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc (£12 each)

    Labels all in good condition.
    So £40 for £113's worth.
Never heard of any of them before :o

Has anyone tried any of them??

Many thanks again to squigs for the alert :T

The Bella is very nice, the Linotti is not bad but I have never heard of the Champagne.

Good box, value for the money though.

Just in case anyone else got the Chanoine Freres 'poo I found out a bit more about it....

The Chanoine champagne house is the second oldest in Champagne, founded originally in 1730 by two brothers, Jacques-Louis and Jean-Baptiste. The brothers excavated the first ever champagne cellars in the town of Epernay that year. They travelled the length and breadth of Europe, introducing their champagne to the affluent society of the time.

Tasting Notes: Some occasions are vintage occasions, calling for vintage wines! Chanoine Freres is one the Champagne region's oldest producers and their take on this particular vintage is exceptional.Made from a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, this is beautiful balanced with delicate lemon fruit, layered with biscuit-like flavours.A great aperitif, and a heavenly match for shellfish. - abv: 12.5 - Country: France - Producer: Champagne Chanoine Freres - Vintage: 2007 - Diet: Vegetarian

Looking forward to trying it now! :D

Thanks for this, I've just ordered one at £72. Does it come with any coffee???

Sorry for the late reply, have been out.
Here's the link. However, the one I bought is now OOS. There is a blue one for £72 though.
The nespresso promotion is that you get £75 of vouchers with a cappuccino machine, and £45 with an espresso machine. What makes it a particularly good deal is that Amazon have some machines at a reduced price at the moment, which means that they cost the same or slightly less than the value of the vouchers. You need to pay upfront for the machine and then claim the vouchers which are then credited to your account and used to buy the coffee. I have claimed them previously with no problem.
Be careful as the Amazon page might be slightly incorrect as it shows some machines without an aeroccino on the £75 page when maybe they should be on the £45 voucher page. Hope that makes sense! I bought one with a milk frother to be on the safe side (but at the time that was the cheapest anyway).

Saw on a SW FB page that some had got them in T's and they compared but they seem terribly confused with all this PP and APG stuff, so don't know how accurate their info is lol.
Havent heard any positive results re getting them from A's APG yet.

ETA that's for the Alpens. Don't know about Rocky Bars

    In other news.
OH & I got our shavers today too :) Thanks to OP

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

At least with TBG, on instore shopping, although it seems to me pretty useless (only worth is if you don't have the competitor store realistically available to you), it's not a risk anymore, as I see it, as, if it's not accurate, you know that before the point of payment* so can dispute and have it all cancelled if they don't agree - only risk is you end up with no shopping:rotfl:.

I'm the type that would actually look forward to trying this out, just to have a debate with them:o:o. As I've said before, I doubt that they can get at least the Morries prices completely right, even if they are only dealing with brands now. :rotfl:They don't expect a customer who knows exactly what amount they should be paying. In those rare situations, they would really have to start being more watertight to avoid this sort of thing at tills, loudly, in front of other customers. (Has this all been fully thought through?)

I thought you meant staff at T were confused for a moment there:rotfl:. In fact I have something I might mention (it's not a glitch:() later in relation to TBG that relates to an article elsewhere on the internet and, yes, there was already an issue raised in that article about an item the customer thinks did not compare properly to Morries. That's not to say that vs A and vs S would be completely right: I had an issue once when - this was in the past when own brands were compared - the Eday Value Parsnips pack did not compare to A and I don't think I got anything for the few pence difference! (Maybe I did - I can't remember: it's way in the past now and think I ended up with far more back on another occasion so I let that one go - as I did better overall (a £5 moneycard for a failed comp.:D).)

I will probably discuss in relation to that article later (I've been thinking of doing so for about a week), but probably a few hours' time, after I've done my own attempt at the latest Morries prices. Actually, my point - in relation to the article - is precisely about confusion and how people generally seem to find it confusing (and about how perhaps that's what the supermarkets want - the reason being that, if people get confused, they'll buy the wrong thing and end up paying the supermarket more - precisely what happened on at least some items detailed in that article (teaser - more later!)).

*EDIT: As long as you are not a confused FB user.

    Annoying isn't it.

Is this on your main computer or laptop or through iPad/tablets - seems to be ok through mobile devices

Control F5 seems to sort it but only if you do it before each search which is infuriating and if I go to google chrome I don't have roboform so I need to go back to IE10 to get passwords

MY OHs is now going to take google off altogether and then re install to see I f that works - there will be cursing later if not as I want to do a wine stock list which will involve a lot of searches :)
It is my laptop that is the problem, I don't have an ipad or main computer. I have spoken to my neighbour and she hasn't got a problem with it. I tried yesterday to reboot it (the IT answer to all problems :rotfl:) but that didn't work. Ds3 is visiting this weekend (he works in computer forensics) so he will sort it for me. Knowing my luck, it will be perfectly ok when he looks at it, that is usually what happens when I have a problem :o
